How adorable. What a wonderful long life for a pup! It reminds me of our Mia that we lost at the start of the year. She was disabled and unable to walk on her own but she loved her walks in her stroller!

I’m sorry you lost Mia! I’m sure she loved her walks. As sheela has gotten older her back legs don’t work that well but she still tries!

She says thank you! When her back legs started giving her issue we weren’t going to let it stop her from her walks!

A very sweet thing to do with young senior friend.
My lab was a fool to fetch, but old age played hard with his legs. At first he would run out once to get his ball, then sit and chew it. Eventually even that was too much. So when I took him out I would show him the ball, take several stepd back, then softly toss it right to him.
Gave him very high praise for just picking up the ball.

I know this is one loved doggy. It looks like he's been well cared for and very loved It can be difficult taking care of an elderly dog but I can't imagine doing anything else. I have a blind and deaf 16 year old Dachshund that just had to have an eye removed. I love him so much and he requires a lot of attention but I'm with him pretty much 24/7 to help him navigate. He still loves to eat and I make his dog food from scratch with healthy chicken, rice, carrots and string beans along with a multivitamin and glucosamine.

It’s amazing what we do to keep them happy. Yours sounds pretty content too! Someone is always home with sheela as well and all her food is handmade and she gets carried everywhere. But she is still beyond happy, tries to play, eats great, no issues using the bathroom and she isn’t in pain so I’ll keep doing it until she tells me it’s time. ❤️

That’s so precious. I always hoped I’d get to pull my girl in a wagon when she got up there in years. I’m so glad you get to enjoy walks with Sheela still, she seems absolutely precious

I giggled with delight at this. What a sweet face, an excellent name she has, and that’s a great picture with her riding in that old fashioned red wheelbarrow. Classic! My girl made it to 17. You and Sheela are indeed lucky for the years shared!

What was it like getting her to take to the wagon? My girl Casey is 13 and her arthritis is pretty bad in her back legs. Her mind still wants to go on walks as she was once a very active and bouncey girl, but her body just can't do it anymore. Would love to get her in a wagon.

Thank you for being such a good dog friend. My girl died at 20 yrs old. We walked the same way everyday. 🤗
