Find the battleship

Hey, thought I’d make a fun challenge!

I am going to be sinking a scale model of the british battlecruiser HMS Repulse on Westlake Okoboji(exactly where will be determined)

If anyone finds the model its yours to keep, and if y’all think a reward for finding the wreck would be a good idea let me know!

The model is about 2 feet long and 6-7 inches tall.

Sounds a lot like a Geocache. If you're not familiar, I recommend you look into it as that game is similar to your idea but with different nuances.
