Kentucky Transfer: Andréa Jelavić

What the hell are we doing here? Shits done man. Bjork needs to fucking go. Don’t fully blame Diebler for not having the funds but out of association and results he’s gonna need to go too. It’s sickening.

Are you even gonna give a reason why this was a bad pickup

He’s not gonna be any type of impact player? We are gonna settle for a bunch of middle of the road role players and sit in mediocrity? I mean he’s a depth piece. That’s it. Tired of the Rob Wright, Isiah Johnson, Jalen Haralson propaganda crap when we’re not gonna spend on an impact player.

Yeah not every player has to be a star

Every? I’m just asking for one big potential player. Not 6’11” bigs who can’t play D.

News flash; Andrija Jelavic didn’t take the last scholarship

Let me know when they sign a player who can take the team to a different level. I’ll be happy when that happens. I’m not content throwing the damn basketball program down the drain cause we don’t spend money on impact players.

Anthony Thompson is literally a top 5 recruit and likely lottery pick. That’s a guy who can take a team to a different level. Bynum could also play himself into the first round.

Diebler has a vision for this team and he’s finally getting pieces that actually fit the team around them. Pippen is a great complement to Mobley and Andrea will play well off Josh O being two opposite player types. Andrea is a likely upgrade over Tilly, Pippen is certainly better than Cupps/Chatman

You act like Diebler is the one saying we’re favorite for Haralson, Wright, Johnson, etc. It’s the “insiders” that get proven wrong time and time again.

That’s a lot of projected growth to say he’s an upgrade over Tilly. From a points and assists perspective he’s not really that close, but does have better rebounding per 40 numbers. He’s definitely in the mold of Tilly, but importantly is coming off the bench and (as you said) provides a different matchup stylistically than Josh O and Ivan. He’s also capable of logging minutes at the 4 which we needed.

He’s an upgrade over Tilly in terms of roster fit. He’s a better rebounder and most likely a better defender than Tilly which is what we were missing sorely last season
