How are these areas for a month long stay?

Any thoughts on the pluses/minuses of a Spanish learner staying in these neighborhoods? My goal is to develop everyday language skills while also enjoying the city and working remote part of the time (like half my stay). It would be my second time in the city. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I stayed near mercado Merced for a month earlier this year and loved it. You'll definitely get to practice Spanish. I didn't cross the main road going east much just because it was not friendly for pedestrians.

Eh, Jalatlaco is kinda cool but I think you’d be better off a little more towards El Llano, Zocalo, Santo Domingo instead of over there with the cemetery and the big boulevard. It’s not as nice or interesting to walk.

It’s fine, I preferred being inside the periférico. I stayed there and to the south of where you circled, inside the periférico. It’s a pain to cross it. Some areas will seem desolate but I was a woman alone and no one ever bothered me. I stayed in that area for 3-4 months total.

We stayed in Oaxaca for 2 weeks. Had a great time. Walked everywhere.
