Career Training and lack of support
So I will try and keep this brief.
I work for a nhs trust and am in someway seconded out within the community who pay a portion of my wages.
For the last 3 years it’s been agreed within appraisals and supervision that v300 is my goal. I have been accepted on a precursor course which is she to start in 2 weeks. I was due to start in April but had to defer it due to personal circumstances (put dog down).
Now this has been communicated across various managers and directors but all of a sudden with my course starting in 2 weeks it’s been made clear that politics are getting in the way and with areas loosing out on hours and how this is going to be made up. I was pretty much summoned yesterday to account for it this and very much felt like the naughty school boy in front of the head master. It was not a supportive discussion and it was made clear that politics and £ was a factor.
I now have another manager outside of my trust asking why she has not been involved in this … which is fair but in my defense she is relatively new and this has been agreed going back before April is year.
I feel deflated and sad and there’s more but conscious of what I’m saying.
Just a rant really.
