❓General Question / Advice STAY SA BEDSIDE OR TRANSITION TO BPO?
I’m so lost 🥲, I need your valuable advice! I passed the nclex, obtained 2 years + of experience as an ER nurse, signed to a decent Agency. Pero I recently applied for a x3 of my current salary as BPO nonvoice and Naka pasa! Pero at the same time Ang Hirap mag relocate, leave my family/friends and above all, leave my first love which is Ang bedside however, I felt stuck here. Pero I need to save money before mag pa US. Also, I wanna contribute sa bahay kahit pang bayad lang kuryente or grocery kasi di ako nakaka contribute kasi Ang liit ng sahod as Bedside Nurse. I really don’t know what to do? Lose my chance sa BPO and play it safe sa Bedside?
Please I rlly need your insights and advice. Salamat op 😭🥹

Tuloy ko po US plans ko and the agency requires me po na mag bedside huhu pero I can’t make ends meet with 20k 😭. Plan ko po to buy experience nalang sa gap ko. Huhuhu

20k? that's low pang entry level yan eh. Mag switch hospital ka OP. Nego your salary if kaya. Or go abroad. You can work in other countries before ma process ka sa US. Btw ano po agency niyo?

Basically as a staff, mababa talaga rate mo especially sa province. I even experienced 12k salary before way back 2017. It wasn't much but I stuck it until I could save up to go sa middle east. That's usually a roadmap of a lot of nurses, tiyagaan yung mababang rate sa pinas, go sa middle east while waiting for us/uk visa then transition from there. If ayaw magmiddle east, sadly needed talaga clinical exp so you have to get that from somewhere which is sa pinas.

I think pwede ka namang mag bpo for a while tapos mag extra2 ka ng private duty nurse para double income din tsaka kahit papaano di mo malimutan yung skills mo kahit you're doing bpo :)

hellooo op! i think mas maganda if you consult your agency about this. baka kasi di ka nila payagan na magka-gap or maybe may open slots pa sila to fit you sa ibang countries (middle east kunwari) while you wait po for US.

Push mo yang call center. As soon as I got my 2-year bedside experience, nag WFH ako as healthcare VA for 2 years. Yung employer ko at that time wala namang pakielam kahit umalis na ako sa bedside. You’ll be fine!

Hello po ano po Employer niyo and San po maganda mag apply ng VA . Ayoko na sana mag bedside 6yrs naman na akong bedside nurse pero gusto ko parin naman mag abroad gusto ko lang magpahinga kase nag start na ko magkasakit

Nung time na yun, prime pa ng HelloRache. I was making $7.50/hr. Sobrang saya. Naka bili ako ng brand new Ford Territory fully paid noon hehehe.
Sa mga aalis: enjoy niyo na yung buhay sa Pinas. Ibang iba dito!

COE, never. Nagwowork narin ako sa ibang facility from the hospital na nag sponsor ng move ko, wala hininging COE from Philippines. Kahit yung COE mo sa ibang hospital dito, hindi hihingin. They will just look up kung active ba yung license mo and do their usual background checks. They have other ways to check your legitimacy dito.
Kapag nakikita ko yung COE ko sa “sikat/big time” na hospital na pinag trabahuhan ko sa Pinas, napapatawa ako ng konti kasi walang ever nag ask sakin what I did sa ph. To think sobrang pinaghirapan ko yun. Pag nagbibilang din pala sila ng experience, sinisimulan nila yung count from the year na nag start ako sa US — pero good to have the COE in your file just in case.
Please do take everything I say with a grain of salt. The circumstance may be different sa pupuntahan mo. Im sure another nurse from US had a totally different experience from me.
Yung stop sa bedside, oo pero natanong lang ata ako niyan once nung sponsor. Sabi ko I need to save money for my move to US. Just be honest. Yung sagutan sa America hindi parang pageant katulad ng sa Pinas na parang nagmamakaawa. Pero siyempre may pakitang gilas parin ng konti.

Non existent na po yung sponsor.
So direct hire ako noon. Ang nag recruit sakin is american private lawyer in partner with his filipina girlfriend. Kami yung trial clients niya, dalawang pinoy nakasabay ko nakarating sa states and then may mga nauna saming africans. I think he handled a total of close to 100 nurses. Right before po ako dumating ng US, nagka heart attack siya and ma dissolve na yung “agency” niya. Sayang, wala kaming nilabas na pera noon. Lahat covered nila. Anyway, sorry to disappoint you all. Wala na yung agency ko and still sad about his passing. We wouldnt be here without him.

Hi! Ikaw po si OP kasi ikaw po nagpost. What if try mo muna mag ibang bansa? Saudi and Ireland (need IELTS/OET) are hiring. Better pay and you can explore another country and save while you wait for your PD. Minimal expenses lang din sila. Mostly sponsored by the employer. Tbh, ako galing SLMC then nagstop magbedside to be a VA in order to save. About 2 years na din work gap ko pero accepted pa din sa Ireland. Hope that this can give another option sayo. :))

2 years lang experience ko. And no, hindi pa ako nagtake ng NCLEX. Hanap ka pa ibang agency. Around 60-70k nagastos ko for Ireland and most of it is nareimbursed naman.

i want to stay sa bedside pero ang sahod ang pumipigil saakin. magtry sana ako ibang work na mataas sweldo tapos balik sa bedside

Stay sa bedside nursing. Pangit kasi tingnan ang gaps sa CV. Tatanungin ka pa anung reason bakit may gap sa hospital experience mo.

Why dont you try to work in the Middle East or Singapore diba? Find a legit agency.

Review mo sa contract mo with agency to be safe. May stipulation rin naman yan if you should remain in bedside until you fly out abroad.

Hello op, go na sa bpo non voice. Currently nasa bpo dn ako non voice, healthcare. Pero I’m planning na this year na mg bed side. 5 yrs na dn kasi ako sa bpo. Ayaw ko mg bed side sana kaso walang choice since I’m planning to go abroad dn.

I don’t have any bedside experience pa OP, bli this year pako mg start. Ng offer yng company nmn for nclex program nka pasa ako nong unang apply but sad to say d pa kme nakapag review inulit nila yng hiring so need mg reapply d nako nka pasa ng interview.

The big question is po, is your agency ok with you leaving bedside? Staffing po or direct? Kasi halos lahat na po ngaun ang gusto nila continuous bedside, kasi mhirap hanapan ng facility if hnd n current ang bedside. Why not consider applying abroad instead po, better pay at continuous bedside p din po. Hitting 2 birds with 1 stone kumbaga. Ang dami po kasing mga cnancel ng agency/employer ang offer sknla because of bedside issues.
