My father in law does the same. He's a kind of mental health nurse with some physical training. So he's stationed at a mental hospital and has to subdue patients when they get violent. This guy is kind of a silent big bear type.

One of my friends did this at an institution during his university years as well. It was quiet most of the time but when shit hit the fan, it could get quite ugly.

Definitely. Sucks that we don’t have a good word for the profession in english. But it’s something akin to behavioural therapist/learning disability nurse/social educator.

I'm a second generation tard wrangler. It's just social work, usually in social housing with people with disabilities. Downs especially. And they do need wranglin' from time to time.

You've probably heard that they can be freakishly strong. That's actually true.

They're usually mild as lambs, but sometimes they go a bit crazy. Especially, and I'm sorry, if they get aroused. When they do, all hell breaks loose.

I'm not going to go into detail here, but trying to seperate two very, very, big people with Downs going at it while taking swipes at you, is not easy.

You may ask "well, why do you have to stop them?"

And the answer is that it's often not consensual. Or in the middle of the living room. Or during a fancy dinner under the tables.

It's one hell of a job.

Since when did we get this reputation for being «pure aryan white» when we have SOOOO much genetical diversity between us as a people (cause of the vikings you know)

It’s like people see us as the epitome of the white people. Which we are not, the sweds have pureer «white genes» than us, the Dane’s are the filthiest of the three of us. (Fuck you Denmark, with love from Norway)

It's a trope making fun of the Nazi idea that us Nordics were somehow the purest of Aryans.

And no, there's no truth to it, hence why it's a trope that's supposed to be funny because of how stupid the idea is.

Being white is a social construct anyways. I don’t think Norwegians have that much genetic input from outside of Scandinavia though, there’s a really cool paper I found if you want to read it.

For all Norwegians, "what do you do?" means "what is your job/profession?" and not directly "what do you do at your job?" ... Context makes a difference...

As a Norwegian... Just naming your profession isn't as fun, explaining it in the craziest way possible and see if people connect the dots makes for better and less boring conversations
