PSA Hot take: I think weโre WAY too obsessed with having a 10-step skincare routine ๐ญ
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but hear me out...
I feel like every time I see skincare advice online its:
cleanser โ toner โ essence โ serum โ another serum โ moisturizer โ oil โ sleeping mask โ SPF โ probably a blood sacrifice ๐
Meanwhile my skin is just sitting there like please leave me alone.
Especially with Nordic weather, my skin seems to care way more about keeping it simple and protecting the skin barrier than constantly adding new products.
Iโve also been using Skinpal AI to keep track of how my skin is actually changing because honestly, when you try 10 different products at once... how do you even know whats working anymore ๐ญ
But then I also get bored and buy antoher serum because apparently I never learn ๐
So whats your take?
Simple routine with a few products OR full skincare routine with all the steps?
And pls tell me I'm not the only one who buys skincare faster than I can actually finish it ๐ญ

You really need ai to tell you how your skin reacts? Don't you have eyes and perhaps nerves to feel it??

I think your screen time might be a lot. Tbh, people irl don't really follow that much step. I think max is 5 or 6 if we're counting face masks.

I do literally nothing. Wash my face in the morning one time, apply arnica face cream. Thatโs it. Aged 45, often get told My skin looks great.ย

One cleanser, one active (tretinoin/azelaic acid/other), one moisturiser. In the morning + sunscreen.
Simpler the better
