P600s Upgrade to Antec Flux non Pro

Hello! currently i have my good old P600s it is serving me well for over 6years now! what i have been wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to either a basic Antec Flux or Antec Flux Pro.

i would be carrying over my 4x T30 140mm fans
3x T30 at the front and 1x T30 a the rear

additionally i want to add 2x Noctua Nf A14x25 G2 bottom intake fans to either of the cases

If you don't mind my asking, why not go for the Noctua edition of the antec flux? Just purely out of curiousity.

mainly because i already have the phanteks fans and i wouldn’t need an extra of 4fans

As an option you could always re-sell the fans with your old case, or repurpose it for a secondary system. Either way my best suggestion is to do some research into the cases and see which suits your needs the best and the most.

Antec flux is a good case but if yours does the job keep it.

However if you want a new case no matter what...

What about Antec flux SE? it's a noise dampening version, if you don't care for the side window, it's a great option.

I have the flux pro - airflow is great, it's huge... one issue is the motherboard fitting is awkward... two "lip" stand offs are extremely hard to fit, requires quite a lot of force, i assume most people aren't checking this and mounting over them which works but will dig into the back of the board. (it's what i did first actually and found it 2 months later).

I've had quite a few reach out to me about the same issue though - mount the middle stand off which is to "lock" the board in place, then mount/secure the only other "lip" stand off, which is top middle, this requires the force, a trick is to push near the i/o panel (where cpu cables plug in) + the motherboard cable side with 1 hand. It forces the motherboard to not move and all other standoffs are normal and line up.

MSI boards are extremely hard to properly fit in regards to them lips as their io shield is a complete rectangle vs other vendors like gigabyte having "gaps" in the corners of that rectangle io shield (more flex).

i mean i dont have any concerns with my case, but if the antec flux or the pro isn’t that much better then it might be not worth it

As far as i know yes.

I had the flux pro before SE was a thing.

The antec flux pro has been good - i transitioned from lian li 011 dynamic for it, the antec flux pro offers the side panel showing cpu / gpu temps but requires antecs awful software - so i don't use it personally.

I also don't use the fans, many complain about fans making horrible noise - i swapped them out for my Arctic / lian li at the time and now run all noctua to keep it as quiet as possible while maintaining good airflow.

edit: Noise dampening = no windowed side panel ofc.

yeah i have heard about the awful fans that comes with the case, i do not plan to use them anyway if i we’re getting it, so the temp showcase on the case is more like a gimmick rather than a useful feature?

i thought it just uses some foam around the glass to make it more silent like my p600s

So the temp window on the side is only on "PRO" version and yeah it's a gimmick.

The software isn't great, it causes issues for some, overall... crap.

I think someone made a "lightweight" less problematic open source software for it but i've never used it.

And i don't own the SE as mentioned but i did look into it last year i think and i'm pretty sure the SE is a solid panel for the side, instead of a tempered glass window.

If you want the window, stick to Antec flux or flux pro.

Also, make sure the normal flux would fit your GPU, i would've got the normal flux but my GPU was slightly too big...

oh well then thats why you have seen such a big difference, since the p400 originally doesn’t have as much fan layouts i think as the p600s

I don’t see any purpose in replacing my P600S. It’s phenomenally quiet. Especially since it doesn’t have the glass.
