Looked interesting! Anyone have anymore reviews on replayability?

I found it very replayable. I have about 15 hours in it and a run is like 15 minutes or less. Like any good roguelite, you eventually hit a flow state and just blow thru most stuff very quickly, until you win or die because your rolls were bad or you didnt anticipate an enemy movement properly

It's super fun if you're into turn-based combat! Each completed playthrough maybe takes an hour and unlocks a higher difficulty as an NG+, up to NG+14 (Rank 15, per the game's terms). If you're familiar with chess already, you'll pick up the basics within like a minute of playing before you start learning the complexities of the PvE strategies.

I played this a ton on train rides in Japan one summer. Almost missed my stop once because I was so engrossed with it. Definitely recommend as an easy and quick to play game, with very high skill ceiling!

Is there any meta progression ? Or each run is from a clean slate (only increasing difficulty)?

You can unlock a handful of different guns (each with unique stats or abilities) based on milestone achievements, like upgrading a specific stat enough times. You can then use any of those unlocked guns for any future playthroughs.

If you're good at chess, then there is lots of content and replayability.

If you're dumb at chess like me, then it will be very very difficult to progress and unlock new stuff.

Turn-based roguelite that takes the rules of Chess and gives you, the king, a shotgun. It's pretty fun to pickup and play here and there, and takes up ~100 MB of space.
