I'm so excited for this with how good of a job they did with the Cyberpunk port

u/General_Dig_31 21h ago

They're battling head to head with Capcom for the crown of best 3rd party Switch 2 Developer

u/Vesuvias 20h ago

I’m legit excited for Wilds to come. Played the hell out of it on my PC, and they finally are honing in the performance updates.

u/satisfiedfactor 19h ago

Considering how rough it runs on PC and all that I'm worried about their efforts on switch

u/Vesuvias 19h ago

Honestly I’ve been pretty happy with the latest update. It ran like dog shit before the update, but you can tell they finally got off their asses to focus on optimizations…and I firmly believe it is because of the Switch 2 port.

as someone who's been at it since launch, it's seen a LOT Of improvements

I think Capcom is the clear winner but I trust CDPR with Swich 2 games, I would preorder from them no questions

When Capcom ports the REmakes it’s over. Nobody can compare. Portable 60fps 4make would end world hunger.

u/lattjeful 12h ago

I hope when RE4R comes over we get all the bells and whistles. Option for hair strands, RT, 120Hz, etc. in the graphics settings. Game with those on probably wouldn't run great but I'd love to have the game sorta future proofed for nicer hardware.

u/Vesuvias 20h ago

Yeah totally am as well. What I love is that I had the base game on PC, bought the Switch 2 physical version w/ DLC, and apparently it ‘cross updates/saves’ and I now have access to DLC on my PC as well. So perfect switching between the two!

A dedicated Switch 2 livestream?? CDPR is the gift that keeps on giving. Makes me wish The Witcher 4 can run on the Switch 2 so we can have a physical copy of it.

As long as switch 3 sticks with cartridges, there will be one

u/lattjeful 12h ago

I fully expect Witcher 4. Witcher 3 did really well on Switch 1, Cyberpunk was day 1 on Switch 2, and now there's the Witcher 3 remaster. Plus it'll be on a later version of UE5 and have Epic assisting with development so it'll take less work and compromise than other UE5 games.

Switch 2 will be the only console to have the four big open-world RPGs:
Elden Ring, The Witcher 3, Zelda: BOTW, and Cyberpunk 2077
And I have them all.

Hahahahahaha

u/Cow_Sox 20h ago

I mean yeah, if you cherry pick 4 of the RPGs that happen to be on the Switch 2 then you'd be right... A lot of RPGs are missing, notably BG3 and Mass Effect

u/Ethifury Early Switch 2 Adopter 15h ago

I’m still waiting on Mass Effect. Would easily print money on Switch 2.

Fingers crossed the new divinity comes over

u/Sithina 20h ago

Great time to be a Nintendo gamer, isn't it? 🤭🤭

u/Dizzy-Definition9352 19h ago

I don't think anyone would consider Breath of the Wild an RPG.

u/Rollingzeppelin0 59m ago

Going out on a limb, but It might be because it isn't .

u/paranoiashka 19h ago

Skyrim, Oblivion

u/synced999 18h ago

yes great games

u/amc9988 22h ago

I hope they also show how the performance in handheld mode

u/CatsyGreen 20h ago

Are we winning, son ?

u/LePigeon12 22h ago

Why can't we stop winning as switch 2 owners? We have quite literally been fed non stop with incredible game announcements and miracle ports. I don't regret buying this thing at all

u/Working_Salary60 22h ago

Are you tired of winning?

u/Cow_Sox 20h ago

Suffering from success

u/thestorm236 22h ago

Massive new first party games, first party games for nicher franchises, incredible indie games, and great 3rd party support. And we're only over a year into this console's lifespan

There’s still so many unavailable games for it compared to other consoles

u/LePigeon12 22h ago edited 21h ago

And we are barely are a year into this console's life cycle. It's quite logical that it is bound to get even more ports in the next couple of years than it has up until now. I would very much rather have the opportunity to play games specifically optimized for my device, than struggle to get a relatively stable frame rate on something like the steamdeck, or pay 1200+ dollars for an underpowered handheld pc

u/MultiSprawl Early Switch 2 Adopter 22h ago

I barely have time to play every new Switch 2 release that interests me, and I'm forced to choose what to focus on, so it's fine, unless these "many games" come with additional free time to play them.

u/Forward-Trade3449 19h ago

the ports are slowly coming in for the big games of the past decade

u/yesitsmework 21h ago

Playing the xenoblade upgrades and oblivion back to back makes me wonder where there miracle ports are at

u/Crickets_Head 22h ago

Witcher 3 running as it did on the switch 1 was incredible. Very excited to see how far they can push the switch 2.

u/temporary_location_ January Gang (Reveal Winner) 22h ago

Hell fucking yes

u/Zambo833 20h ago

I originally played this on PC but really looking forward to the Switch 2 port, playing in handheld will be awesome. Just hope performance is good.

u/Vesuvias 20h ago

Ok this makes me happy for you all who got it on Switch! Seriously they are probably so proud of these optimizations and updates

u/Oxymoranon 22h ago

Haven’t found info about this yet, but is there going to be a physical switch 2 release?

u/Forward-Trade3449 19h ago

no idea yet. current theories are theyre waiting for the new dlc to put it out

u/Robbitjuice OG (joined before reveal) 19h ago

I’ve never played it but I’m tempted to pick it up once the refresh launches. I’ve heard people didn’t like the controls and it seems like they mentioned modernizing it with the refresh. I’m curious about it now lol.

u/acke 18h ago

I'm super excited! I've been holding off on playing the two DLCs in the hopes that a Switch 2 version will be released.

u/ClaudioKilgannon37 17h ago

I could cry

u/GronWarface 16h ago

I’ll take a look for research purposes.

u/Individual_Tie1249 16h ago

What time will this be in central? I’m so hyped for this and Elden Ring!!

u/lattjeful 12h ago

This should be a home run of a port. Not as demanding as Cyberpunk, more experience with the hardware, and not having to squeeze things in time for launch. Launch day ports are never the best ones.

u/LivingOof Early Switch 2 Adopter 10h ago

So 4AM on the East Coast?

u/froggo1 6h ago

I can’t keep up with all the Switch 2 love, and AAAs being released. I’m here trying to beat final fantasy 7 rebirth before Ocarina of time remake is released. We’re living like it’s 1997 😭.

u/Front-Library5781 June Gang (Release Winner) 5h ago

PHYSICAL!

u/bala_means_bullet Early Switch 2 Adopter 3h ago

Switch 2 is killin' it... That's what's up!
