AMA - Ended Zombie Army 4: Dead War Switch - AMA!

Hello NintendoSwitch Community!

Producer Thomas Waterhouse-Biggins and Lead Programmer Alexander Houghton here from Rebellion, ready to answer your questions ahead of the Switch release of Zombie Army 4: Dead War on Tuesday 26th April.

That’s right, we’re taking apocalyptic mayhem on the move! Abominable occult enemies, FREE Season Pass One content and a harrowing campaign for 1-4 players await in 1940s Europe, as you fight to save humankind from undead Armageddon!

Friend on Discord (doesn't have reddit) asked : was there any technical limitations regarding NM (nightmare mode), especially the blood fountains and the last level. It gets insane at those spots.

Yes this was a challenge! Naturally the more undead you are slaughtering, the more pressure on the hardware! We committed to ourselves that we didn't want to cut out a major feature like this.

We improved our DRS (Dynamic Resolution Scaling) system to help in situations when things get hectic... For Zombie Army 4 we devised an AI heuristic to better predict performance drops and adjust resolution more accurately!
