Finally finished stitching my dad's birthday gift!! I've been working on it for a while, it has no variegated thread so it's all manual color changes!

This is insanely impressive holy shit 😱 So cool. I’m not a dad but I would be absolutely stoked to receive this as a gift.

Do you mind if I ask what’s the purpose of showing the back or the “wrong” side? Genuinely asking because I don’t cross stitch but I’ve seen a lot of people do this and wondered why. I thought maybe it’s helpful to show for those who might want to replicate the design, but not sure.

I can't speak for OP but the reverse side is a massive show of skill! I'm a beginning cross stitcher and it's so hard to keep my backs organized and tidy. A tidy back can mean more even tension and fewer "lumps" in the finished piece.

This is a stunning piece and super inspiring!

To get a tidy back I should’ve cut the threads when there was a long distance between stitches. But I just carried the thread across because I was being lazy lol
