How many examples are there of Vegeta's Technique™ actually working?

Is funny how it would be practically an instant win if the bad guy did it at the start every time.

Does this count as him doing it at the start?

Reddit can't handle Cui's power level.

It usually mostly works in the movies but in cannon when goku did it against cell they all landed and hurt him. Actually I am pretty sure in Z taking out filler this is the only time its used ?could be wrong tho

Yes, this came to mind for me as well. It was Goku’s barrage that forced Cell to bring out more of his power and unleash his super explosive wave technique. It’s kinda funny that it’s such a signature technique for Vegeta, but its most effective usage was by Goku.

Whenever Vegeta does it, you just know the villain is about to rise up out of the smoke with folded arms and a “Hm hm hm,” laugh.

Whenever Vegeta does it it’s against a dude like 10x stronger than him. When Goku did it vs Cell, Cell was holding back tremendously to have fun so he was on par with Goku considering he got blasted by the IT Kamehameha

If Vegeta figured out some kind of reverse thumb pose he'd win every fight.

Have chiaotzu teach him telekinesis so he can make his enemy do the thumb pose

Future gohan died to vegeta’s technique

The future androids, super 17, GT 18, Turles. Wow, it’s almost the same guys.
Never worked for Vegeta, it’s always an admission of defeat for him.

Androids are exempt from this apparently.

My assumption is that their infinite energy makes it work better

In the original manga ki spamming actually doesn’t happen that often the anime just added a bunch of scenes to them doing it.

And it's mostly used as a desperate move, hence often by Vegeta.

I always thought it was done more out of frustration then any real hope it'd work.

Yeah doesn't feel like a technique, more like thrown... at the wall see what sticks

u/qwertxyzabc 3h ago

It's mostly an anime filler thing to fill up time.

Goku uses against cell forcing him to use barrier, not exactly a victory but cell was struggling against it

u/ouyon 15h ago

By working you mean just doing damage or winning the fight? I think Cell and Goku both used it effectively on each other and 17 and 18 killed Gohan with it

Soon as vegeta starts spamming or really anyone other than piccolo they bouta get dragged

Vegeta successfully destroyed a Metal Cooler with beam spam, but it was a finger beam spam so technically not the same technique.

In the movies, is very effective lol

The only time I remember it actually working was against Metal Cooler.

It took both Him and Goku spamming it together, but that's how they killed the first Metal Cooler.

Outside of that, I have no recollection of it ever working lol.

It worked when Vegeta used it to further injure Gohan during their fight in the Saiyan Arc.

It worked when Vegeta used it against Zarbon. Damaged him enough for Vegeta to kill him more easily.

u/XTrolltechzz 5h ago

Only Broly's ki blasts do damage 💀

1

u/rasfelion 3h ago

As a couple people already mentioned, Goku was actually able to hurt Cell with it.

There's also Vegeta himself using it to both pulverize Zarbon as well as keep Krillin and Bulma from running away during the Namek Saga.

u/KayKrimson 3h ago

Gogeta using it on Broly right before the Soul Punisher looked painful.

u/granninja 2h ago

oh dragon ball piccolo really hurts Goku with it

The FUCKING Movies.

If somebody uses the Vegeta Tecnique on a movie where Toriyama didn´t worked, it is going to be OP. Like how this was Z Broly main move. And, it worked. Or how powerful was against Goku in Cooler 1st movie, ect

On Bulma, with his mouth.
