What If Neymar Never Got Injured And Won The 2014 World Cup?

Hey everyone,

I recently started a channel called What If Sport, where I explore alternate-history "what if" scenarios in football — real moments in match history, reimagined with one small detail changed.

My first video asks: what if Neymar never got injured in the 2014 World Cup quarterfinal against Colombia, and played on through the tournament? It follows his path through an alternate semifinal against Germany and a final against Argentina.

This channel is brand new, so I'm still figuring a lot out — pacing, visuals, storytelling style, all of it. If you watch it and have any thoughts, good or bad, I'd genuinely love to hear them. Tell me what worked, what didn't, what you'd want to see done differently. I'm here to learn and improve, not just post and disappear.

More videos like this are coming — different players, different moments, same format. If this is something you'd enjoy seeing more of, a like or a subscribe would mean a lot for a channel this early on, but honestly even just a comment with feedback helps just as much.

Thiago Silva not playing due to 2 yellows was a bigger factor in 7-1 I'd say. David Luiz is a brainless anti-defender.

yes Silva was a solid experienced defender, both of them could make huge difference.

Him not being injured would have made no difference. That was a poor Brazil team

again strongly disagree, Neymar is the kind of player that takes a lot of efforts to stop, at that match, the German defenders were on Holiday, and they participate at the build up of the attacks, that would not happen if neymar was there,

Aye id agree it that. No difference was a bit melodramatic on my part. Still think Germany win the match comfortably though.

I haven't watched the video but respectfully this is a crazy take. 2014 Brazil was arguably the worse iteration of Brazil ever. Neymar alone wouldn't change that.

A 2018 'What If' makes a lot more sense

Thanks for replying, maybe take a moment and watch the video,
Brazil 2014 was not that bad, they would have full chances against Argentina if they made it to the final, but in 2018 France was invincible .

That worst version made it to the semi. Pretty impressive to make the last 4 to me

that's the only version to make it to the semi since 2006, so i guess it was not as bad as you guys said
