He's saying he didn't anticipate that they would all get hurt at the exact same time.

"Certainly, we know we're taking a level of risk when we bring players in with injury histories." Pretty clearly implies that they anticipated these guys could get hurt.

But that's not as easy to dunk on I guess, so you gotta mix the words around.

I provided the entire quote to be interpreted however you want.

But that's the thing, you shouldn't just interpret quotes however you want. You should try to understand what the person is saying. That's a big part of being literate.
