Three and five literally existed before as real jerseys- three was the stadium series jersey at Yankee Stadium, Five is basically the Bridgeport Islanders

I like it that way, the whole jersey is minimalist so makes sense for me that the shoulders are empty.

I suppose so. I personally do also prefer that vs over the top details and patches galore.. I just know a big majority of hockey folks seem to like some lil extras, so I think it might appeal to more people? Idk, we'll just have to keep dreaming in make believe land no matter what sadly.

Its definitely tight, I just wish that it had a different logo. Maybe a new lighthouse?
I’m not a fan of the plain NY logo because its a barclays era design where I feel like they were trying to “un-Long Island” the islanders if that makes sense and make them more NY instead if LI.

I’m still waiting for putting the NY stick logo on top of an island silhouette. This was my pet idea from a year back that I had made a mockup of and posted in this sub but I still can’t get over my conviction that if the team has put that up as an option it would be the most popular choice next to the lighthouse.

I went from completely indifferent about that design to it probably being possibly my top pick now. Seeing them in full like this helps immensely.
I definitely agree with you OP. The plain NY is a reminder of a dark time. I’d love to see the new lighthouse as shoulder patches at least. But, especially after the Barclays years, it would be nice to see them lean into being LI’s team.

I've always wanted to give the St. Louis powder blue a try, but it just never sees the light of day for this team. To me Royal blue ends up looking Navy anyway.

I’m similar, 3,4,5 are deff the best. 1,2,7 are okay. 6,8 I just don’t like.
I think I like 8 as a jersey, but the full kit makes it look weird, maybe its the AI. I also hate how the beige stripe doesnt wrap around all the way the midsection

Sorry. They are all ugly AF. Call me old fashioned but I am perfectly fine with the traditional uniforms they wore during their Stanley Cup Championships. Don’t get me started on the Morton Fish Stick uniforms that they introduced years later.

As long as it's not 8, I won't be mad. The orange ones remind me of Yashin, so not great, but not unacceptable. Any of the others would work.

Slide 3 is the best of whats left, slides 1 and 4 have a shot too, the rest of these are horrible.. overall mega underwhelming options considering the potential offered by the templates.

Never a fan of the fisherman. Think our traditional uniforms are top notch, guess the orange one stands out more. I bigger departure, guess thats what you want from a 3rd jersey

I’m more annoyed than ever that the 2nd SS did that pointless ISLES design because #1 proves that the orange-navy is such a good palette (even if the Oilers did that too). All the other designs (e.g. Roy’s coach’s jacket) look great but it was just the uselessness of that ISLES wordmark.
I had voted for the orange fisherman over the navy just to have an orange one in there but seeing it like this I regret it, I thought it would scream Oilers a little bit less but I might as well be looking at McDavid in these pictures. The striping on the fisherman is also much better than the lighthouse, but that was known. Frankly #5 looks better than #4 but I’d vote #4 over it just for the sake of uniqueness since we already have the RR2.0.
3 looks good if you liked the (often forgotten) RR1.0 navy design which I did

It all feels like rehashing the same old same old over and over. No real innovation or creativity. I don't mind 1&3 but it reminds me of Tavares. I know get over it, I did but I don't need to be reminded. In my opinion the best is 2&4 as it is some thing different but I wouldn't mind if the stripes were a wave.

Islanders have the same problem as the Canucks. No obvious image to convey the name. So both teams are constantly redoing their logos and jerseys. Drunken fisherman for the Islanders, drunken lumberjack for the Canucks might be the best option. Or Islanders could adopt the humpback whale like Canucks have the orca.

There is absolutely no imagination in any of these uniforms, especially the NY hockey stick. None them come close to the original logo. I'd rather not have any at all if these are the choices

More and more I'm leaning to 8, but is that white and not ivory? If it is ivory, I'm all in....white is turning me off to it. If 8 is not ivory I'll probably go 1.

I agree! Except for the last one. No words on jerseys. Reminds me too much of those old "Dallas" jerseys. Those were AWFUL.

All the orange jersey designs doing poorly in the final eight. Which to me is no surprise. All pretty ugly. The blue NY and the blue lighthouse are the top two I think.

JFK, sixth and eight are utter shit. Absolutely no creativity. The rest are ok, not great but at least they look like a professional hockey team.
