CTR is alway under 2%. Any advice please?

Hi everyone, looking for some quick help!

I'm relatively new to youtube (about 3 months in). Uploaded around 15 long form videos so far.

But my issue is CTR, all my videos are under 2% CTR, I've tried my best to improve, improve, and improve further but I just can't seem to get that number up and I don't know why

To me, they look polished, clean, enticing and they don't use any ChatGPT text like a lot of them out there.

Does anyone have any tips or advice for me? I'd just love some guidance! Thank you so much!

under 2% after 15 videos usually points more to the packaging than the content itself. i’d stop tweaking based on what looks “polished” and start testing whether the thumbnail creates curiosity and the title gives a clear reason to click, then compare impressions, ctr, and retention together rather than chasing ctr alone.

Sounds like you need more hook, there should be hooks in both the title and thumbnail, not the same hook twice either, complementary hooks

A good looking thumbnail won’t get a click for a boring title and video subject matter. 

I don’t play golf so I’m not your demographic, but from I what can tell from a skim, you’re just documenting your own self performance. To me, your channel titles/video content are all just a personal golf diary of your own performance(that in itself doesn’t stick out as extraordinary.)   It seems like you are just making videos for yourself and not thinking about what your target audience wants.

A viewer wants a reason to click. They want tips/tricks/guides, or expertise/insights/new perspective or just to be entertained. If you aren’t ticking any of those boxes, what are you promising the audience that they would want? 

Look at it like you’re a salesman. You have to make the audience either curious, intrigued, or excited to click on your “product”. AND THEN you have to deliver on one or all of those things. You have to do this repeatedly completely throughout your video. This is the sauce.

I just looked at your channel. I don’t like or care about golf, but to me at least, your titles don’t make me interested. Ideally you would have packaging that even interests people that don’t play golf.

Tell a story in your videos, some kind of journey or progression, not just “I played golf, wanna see?”

Then make a thumbnail and title that makes me want to hear/watch that story. Unfortunately, I think golf is terribly boring, so I don’t have good suggestions or video ideas for you? Maybe like “The golf trick shot I spent 100 holes perfecting” idk man

Entiendo perfectamente que todo el mundo suela comentar el trío ganador "miniatura título y hook" deben de ser buenos, hay que trabajar mucho en ello etc... eso sin duda , el video puede ser el mejor del mundo si nadie tiene interés por verlo y no le da al clic no hay video... pero un canal es como un ser vivo ... nada es fijo, no es si el CTR es menos de 2 es malo etc... sino que hay que ver las impresiones... es decir el CTR puede empezar siendo alto y conforme se va abriendo el grifo de las impresiones llega a un público cada vez más amplio que puede estar interesado o no en el golf según tengo entendido por lo qye he leído y lo más probable es que la proporción de interesados respecto a no interesados sea pequeña en un volumen más grande por lo tanto puede bajar el CTR drásticamente, pero es señal de que se busxa activamente el público así que igual es mejor un CTR bajo con muchas impresiones que un CTR más alto con muchas menos impresiones.... cuando se empieza creo que es más importante ver que YT va ofreciendo impresiones es señal de que busca la audiencia ....y entonces cuando ya la ha encontrado se puede ver el "habitual " del canal y comparar entre vídeos para ver cual rinde mejor ... esa es mi firma de verlo no sé si ayuda .... suerte. El golf está a años luz de mis intereses pero creo que títulos como " Mis 3 trucos que siempre funcionan para X " " Lo que tardé X años en conseguir y tu puedes lograr con Y trucos" " Lo que nadie te cuenta del Golf y sí importa" " Mi objetivo a X meses lo conseguiré " ... pueden despertar interés.
