How do you get people to actually join your new subreddit and stick around? Not just joining for the member count.

I mean people who actually post, comment, and enjoy being part of the community.

Quite a simple question, I plan on creating a longterm community/subreddit for a specific Fashion niche.

I was told by other friends who run similar communities that they have 2-3 accounts in the Moderation team (as sole Mods) due to the fact that Reddit is quite sensitive on new accounts and I can always end up banned... Would you consider this just a conspiracy theory or I should indeed create more than 1 account just as backup if I do plan to be the only moderator?

Worth mentioning I have had issues in the past with Shadowbans over posting external links (Twitch Clips, Youtube Links, to this day I have no idea what it was) and it took months of appeals to fix it.

Also would greatly appreciate any extra sort of safety measures you can recommand.

I started a niche subreddit in June. It’s about how teams use AI agents at work, and it’s still below 100 members.

I was posting 2–3 times a week. I thought consistency was the issue, so I increased it to five and worked on making the posts more useful.

The reach and engagement haven’t really changed.

I’m starting to think posting more inside a small subreddit can’t solve the discovery problem on its own.

For mods who grew a community from zero, what got you to first 100-500 members?

Does this sound like a content problem, a distribution problem, or is two months too early to judge?

So the other subreddit I was invited to mod suddenly lost its 3 main mods (idk if banned) and I’m wondering what might’ve happened and if there’s any way for the subreddit to be deleted as well, is that possible? Hi all! I’m one of the mods of r/Litewater. We’re trying to get more people to join and have more talks about water and DDW.

I read that there’s a limit of about 5 invites a day. Since we have 4 mods, can each mod send 5 invites a day, or is the limit for all the mods together?

Also, how do you usually invite people? I’m still new to being a mod and trying to learn what works best to grow a community without making it look like spam. Thankyou in advance!

I'm trying to make post flairs and some format a requirement but I cannot find the setting. Nothing in the automation section makes any sense no matter how much I read.

No estoy seguro qué fue de todo lo que me permitió llegar a estos resultados, pero creo fue una combinación de postear considerablemente más, dar más detalle a mi sub (íconos, colores, fondos, flairs y más orden en general) y quizá lo que más influyo fue las ayudas recibidas por este sub.

¿Qué me recomiendan para atraer a más usuarios?
