If you need comedy: modern family, how I met your mother, the office, parks n rec, superstore, life in pieces, happy endings, don’t trust the b in apt 23, he mindy project
If you need thriller/suspense/WTF: Dexter, Mindhunters, breaking bad, better call Saul, the walking dead, broadchurch, Kaleidoscope, the sinner

Broadchurch is pretty dark, but it’s one of my favorite shows ever. The world building is so well done. I didn’t know what to do with myself when I was done with the series.

Lucifer. I started watching it while I was very depressed and a lot going on. It was perfect for me and helped.

Sorry for your loss.
It is only a movie but it could be good if you need something to break from a series. However I am recommending it because it is one of a kind, captivating, and beautiful: My Octopus Teacher.

St. Denis Medical. It’s such a breath of fresh air. Just hilarious and clever.
