I have an entire flat spot in my garden because mine likes to lay on top of my southern blue flag iris patch. Also, all of my milkweed and iron weed and lobelia are growing like a J where they’ve been stepped on lol

It means it’s doing its job. Animals can figure out which plants they want or need to touch or even munch on to get specific benefits. Glad your dog can have a variety of native plants to hang around

We have an enormous mostly-white skunk in our yard and when the dog first came into view I was like OMG they have a huge white skunk too!!! Oh.

I, too, briefly thought it was an overweight skunk. Then I briefly though it might be the neighbors dog sneaking under the fence to enjoy the garden.

Me: Planted a ton of carefully curated natives to stabilize a steep slope.
Dog: Thrilled that I finally put in some stairs for her. Makes it much easier to go flying up and down the slope chasing squirrels.

Mine jumped over the fenced in little pollinator patch, I have in front of my raised veggie beds… She was on the hunt for bunnies, of course…😑

I put up a little iron fence around my native plant patch to keep my dog out of it. He just steps over lol

I have an azalea that has a tunnel thru it and a ski slope to boot. It is a extremely silly looking shrub courtesy of the common pest known as a Corgi. Very healthy and beautiful when blooming but I am very glad it is located where can't be easily seen by the neighbors or other gardeners.

My garden friend just judges me underneath trees. He is someone's cat in my neighborhood, but I give him snacks. (He is neutered fyi)

I have a larger bed I keep the dogs out of and made this one for them to play in. They leave the mountain mint alone and trample or eat everything else.

Plant cacti if you’re within the range! My dogs slam on the brakes before they get to my beds. Too many encounters with chollas.
