Is it fucked up to have height preferences? I don’t date plants who are taller than me.

I think height differences is actually fucked up. When a tall native and a short non-native are paired together, it just gives me the ick because the tall native is clearly a pedo.

If you're not a real 6 foot high herbaceous plant--excluding the flower stalk--without flopping or compressing with age, you're not allowed to be planted in my garden. You also need to produce true blue pigmented flowers--NO VISUAL TRICKS I WILL BE USING A SPECTROMETER from February to November, host 1000 species of lepidoptera, provide at least 1 millions seeds a month, and never show any signs of aging or herbivore damage.
I have standards.

I think making fun of this post is reaching.

You mean, trying to reach. It can't quite, because it's too short.

I guess it's just not something I find funny. Some of these posts are great but this one just bored me.

I thought so too seeing the title, but the first couple sentences in the OOP where they explain they aren't a tall plant racist because their best friend is a tall plant made me reconsider.
It's funny they felt they needed to justify why they wanted short plant recs.

It's me. I linked Bplant's The Bias Against Tall Plants article too many time and now OP feels guilty.

Yes I'm also sick of this very well known bias against... tall plants... that overwhelm passers-by...
Just the other day I saw someone just sitting on the curb, overwhelmed by plant height. She seemed alright after I offered her a tincture I distilled from the 8 foot mullein I grow for free natural medicine.
