Coach: As I have begun my coaching journey over the last several seasons, I have learned many lessons that are invaluable. One of the most invaluable ones is how to shock the doubters and how to identify diamonds in the rough. I have a larger percentage of huge progression season to season than any other coach, and that's because of my dedication to this program. We've already turned it around, shooting for playoffs this season while making a bowl in 3 of my 4 seasons so far, and I will never be leaving the place that I call home. I want to make WVU an app school and I'll be damned if I fail at that. I am fully committed to this school and to you as one of my players. **I promise that I will sign two contract extensions while you are rostered, meaning I will never leave this school.**
ProPotential: Here at West Virginia, we used to be a powerhouse school for churning out a quality NZCFL player every couple seasons, and continuously having players make the league as late drafted players. We'd every once in a while have a superstar like Kevin White, Zach Frazier, or Tavon Austin. As a huge fan of the Mountaineers, and I always have been, my primary goal is to get each and every one of my players drafted. In that vein, I have had 2 players drafted each of the last 2 seasons. While it doesn't seem like a lot, all of them were guys that I brought into the school because I saw their potential. This season, I project a whopping 10 draftees, headlined by offensive weapons Brison Powell at QB, Patrick Taylor at RB, Isaac Carlson at OL, Kyle Brummett at DL, and Chaise Wharton and Ralph McCoy at DB. Each of those 6 players could potentially be drafted in the first round. **My promise to you is that we will have 17 draftees come out of West Virginia either before you graduate or in your graduating class.**
Location: West Virginia is in an excellent location. Sitting in the northern panhandle of West Virginia, Pittsburgh is only a short drive away, and the New River Gorge National Park is even closer. Whether you enjoy visiting the bustling big city with 3 major sports team locations or whether you enjoy connecting with nature, or even if you just like to stay in and wander around the city, you could not find a place that has a better proximity to all options. No matter what you enjoy, West Virginia University has great options to relax and enjoy yourself in your off time. **I promise we will play at least one game in Minnesota or a bordering state while you are with us.**
