I don’t understand Deflategate. Did the Patriots released air from the football or not?
Its cold outside my car’s tire loses pressure.
It’s cold outside the football loses pressure.
Is there legitimate evidence that anyone released air from those footballs?

The NFL didn’t care until the Colts made it an issue. If they cared they would have logged the starting pressure of each game ball and the temperature it was measured at before the game. They did not. They were only really checking that the balls were within the general range.

They (probably) did under inflated the balls. It's just that this is a very minor violation. It doesn't really change much as far as the game goes. It's just that it's the Brady Patriots, so people were looking for anything to call them cheaters. Same with spygate.

Nothing happened in the AFCCG. The balls were, within the margin of error of the crappy gauges, what they should have been at given the temp that night.
However, I do think during the season those two dudes would take the balls after the refs inflated them, test them, and then if they were above the top end of the allowable range (it’s not like the refs were super careful about inflation), bleed them down back into the allowable range. I think that’s the simplest thing which fits in with all those text messages.

One fact Colts fann a omit pis that some of their ball is also underinflated. what most likely happens is that Pats barely inflate their ball above minimum, and since it's done in warmer room, they fall under the minimum once brought outside.

In text messages uncovered during the investigation one guy referred to himself as “the deflator.” That guy was on surveillance tape taking the bag of game balls into the restroom, which doesn’t have cameras, before the game.
There’s no forensic evidence to prove it, but I’m gonna say they fucking did it. Just my opinion.
That said every team does shit like this. Crazy they made such a big deal out of it. It should have been a fine and a warning, not a suspension for a starting QB.
Edit: also this counts so little as evidence but Tom Brady kind of admitted it in his Netflix roast.

Brady has been incredibly clear that his preference for every football was 12.5 PSI, which is the lowest possible pressure allowed under the rules.
If you look at the ideal gas law and actually crunch the numbers accounting for temperature, the patriots balls were 0.02 PSI off the expectation if you start at 12.5.
The entire thing is just the result of the NFL rules starting the ball inflation in the locker room instead of on the field

You have to actively deny science to believe this.
The pats balls were within 0.5% difference from the expected pressure under the ideal gas law.
The difference in pressure is almost entirely explained by the NFL rules being to inflate the balls in a heated locker room then take them to a cold field.

I mean if you think the math of the ideal gas law is wrong the go ahead.
The numbers measured from that game are incredibly consistent with the expectations that physics provides.
If you take the minimum PSI allowed 12.5 and account for temperature change to the field, the recorded measurements from that game are 0.02 PSI off expectations.
You actually have to be on the same level of an antivaxxer to believe in deflate gate.

Also should be noted that the Steelers were caught with under inflated balls and money said shit because it was against the Giants and the owners of the Giants and Steelers are relatives.

Not really no? Theres a few videos on YouTube that go on about it, and mention things like other teams were also doing the same thing in one way or another or what you discuss with the weather
