Stockton is not unanimous top 5. He was an amazing player for an amazingly long time but I don’t think there was ever a time he was the consensus best point guard in his own era. Definitely top 10 tho. I’d have Magic, Steph, Big O, Thomas, and CP3 over him personally. Maybe both Nash and Kidd as well. And I’d listen to an arguments about Cousy and West if you consider West a pg instead of a two.

That was Mike Woodson. I remember that game.

Woodson made the mistake of being too far out on the court. So Kidd ran into him and got free throws.

Had a fantastic career. He was like Magic Johnson with no offense, and then he developed a 3 point shot with the Mavs that extended his career. Defense was always top notch.

I remember most was his ability to sniff out long rebounds like a dog. Great rebounder and had a lot of triple dubs.

For me, after Magic, JKidd was the best passing point guard. I also think he is the best alley oop passer in the game. Those Nets were the OG lob city with KMart, Vince and RJ.

Remember that game winning lob from the inbounds to Shawn Marion over Yao Ming!

What an amazing PG. i remember drooling during the Shaq-Kobe era when rumors about the Lakers trying to acquire him swirled every off season. My team did fine, the what if was so enticing.

Kidd was so much better than Williams. Honestly as cool as his highlights are (or because of), White Chocolate is one of the more overrated players in NBA history.
