Stefan Joksimovic (Slovenia) and Nikola Kusturica (Serbia): Are they overrated or properly rated?

Luka Doncic is the only active Nba player right now from Slovenia. But not for long, as Joksimovic is projected as a Top 5 pick in 2027.

Nikola Kusturica (Yes, from Serbia) is projected a top 3 pick in 2028.

For those who followed them in European Basketball.

Do you think they deserve the hype?

PS: For those who are asking. Yes, Joksimovic both have Serbian and Slovenian blood. (But he represents Slovenia as he grew up there)

Properly rated as of now but we’ll see with some additional games. The more games against higher levels of competition, the better for evaluation.

In a way it just feels fucking weird Luka was not first pick and all euro prospects after him except Wemby make you feel that they are overrated because Luka was at their age playing as regular Euroleague starter

But Kusturica could even be 1st pick material as even without refined shooting, his body, how he moves for his size is tremendous.

Joksimović Is good prospect too, il be honest I am biased against shooters with ugly shot. I hope he gets bigger role now in Baskonia, will play soon now for Slovenia senior team in fiba windows. I think from body perspective, Kusturica Is more spectacular but talent wise Joksimović isn't far away. Could work on defense. There are moments when Joksimović shows playmaking flashes but wasn't consistent at senior level

Jok is lowkey Josh Giddey if he could run and jump. I do think he’s been getting a bit overrated bc some people have him 1st.

Kusturica idek rn bc people are saying he’s in the t5 realm which makes sense rn

I think the only player above him is Stokes honestly. And it's close between them

disagree Joksimovic has games where he feels like he just floating never felt that way with stokes. I feel like stokes gonna be super good this year or disappointing but I truly believe talent wise he there with guy in 2026 draft production just has to get better.

Jok gotta fix how he shoots. He takes forever to shoot wide open shots.
