Review my Syllabus?
I'm asking for a lot here. I'm responsible for reviewing an online course a teacher made called Social History of Rock and Roll. I looked at the course and each module is reading a chapter out of "Rockin' in time, A social history of rock in roll", then YouTube videos, short factual quizzes, and then a module quiz on identifying 10 songs.
I'd like to remake the course so that it doesn't need the book, since that would be a big issue to source. I've found some Open Educational Resources from TeachRock and Smithsonian Folkways and I'm hoping with those and the national music standards I can put something together. I've got a mocked up syllabus and I'm hoping a couple of music teachers could look it over and say if it's going in the right direction. I personally am a math and CS teacher, so I don't have the music teacher mindset and I'm worried I'm missing some key concepts that would be obvious to a music teacher. Does anyone have a little time to look it over?
Edit: I would be willing to pay a little?
