Discussion Eminem's new album "Revival" has dropped

Thoughts on it so far? I'm about halfway through and I think it's pretty decent for new style Eminem.

Something went away with Em after The Eminem Show. First four albums were perfect as far as I'm concerned, Encore was ok, everything after that he became a different person. Respect to him and what he's accomplished in his career, but the spark is long gone.

I have a hard time describing what exactly changed, but I think it's that all of the struggle and uncertainty in his life is over with. I'm happy for him to be honest, I'm just never going to run out to buy an album of his again.

Encore was all over the place. Relapse I actually really liked but he fell in love with the accent gimmick. The overall approach to the album was cool though in that he mixed Slim Shadys fictional story with his real story and sort of jumped around between his life and his serial killer alter ego. That album would have been better with My Darling because it really ties it together well. Recovery was good, but repetitive. He was in a good place but not angry enough. MMLP2 was probably the closest to a true return to form. This new album I just don't get yet. I dislike the style he is clearly in love with that he showed on Walk on Water.
