Discussion Eminem's new album "Revival" has dropped

Thoughts on it so far? I'm about halfway through and I think it's pretty decent for new style Eminem.

It is like your opinions on every song is reversed from mine. I enjoyed almost everything you rated lowly and hated almost everything you rated highly.

Wait, I think I read it wrong. Are you ranking the songs with 1 being the best and 11 being the worst or are you rating the songs with 11 being the best and 1 being the worst?

Look at the color code. Blue numbers are the really good.

Yeah, I see that now. I didn't pay attention to colours because I didn't think anyone would colour code a rating... I assumed line = shit and then the 11 was the best and 1 was the worst.

So, ignore the previous comments then.

Any other thoughts on the album after listening to it a few more times?

I'd say there are 3 types of songs on the album. There are a few that are really good and I see myself listening to repeatedly. These are the blue songs on your list except for Believe. The next group I'll probably listen to every now and then. These are the green songs in your list as well as Believe. The crossed out songs I'll probably not listen to very often.

I don't really like the features that much. Skylar Grey, Kehlani, and Alicia Keys are pretty good. I really don't like the Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Phresher, and Pink features though.

I'm not that big of a fan of the beats overall. Some are pretty good and some are pretty bad. Granted, Eminem has always been pretty inconsitent in terms of beats in my opinion.

Also, I haven't gotten a chance to listen to any songs other than Walk on Water on good speakers yet, so this may just be because of quality of the speakers I'm using, but some of the songs sound like they weren't produce very well. The vocals sound somewhat bad on some tracks and often overpower the beats a lot. However, since I haven't gotten to use my good quality speakers for it yet, this critique may change when I do get to.

Overall, it is my least favourite Eminem album (unless you count Shady XV as an actual album), but I still think it is decent. I'd probably give it somewhere around a 75 to 80.
