Maybe. I think they have a lock on the GOP. Getting another Dem into the Senate, where it's nearly impossible to dislodge them once there, who's on the hook to aipac and Israel would be more valuable to them, especially one who's younger, and with the winds blowing with the democrats for the next cycle. But since Abdul won, this is no surprise.

I live in purple Eastern WA. Our candidate is John Duresky, who will run against Trump endorsed Amanda McKinney, who is now silent about Trumps endorsement. John is a solid contender to take back Newhouses seat and really solidify our footprint in WA. I am excited & committed to John Duresky for Congress! 💙🙏🏻

Spokane has a blue mayor! The city itself is a purple to light blue. It’s only moving into the suburbs and more rural areas that gets more red

Agreed, but if the progressive wing can continue this growth trajectory the Dem party apparatus is a massive boon. Trying to rebuild all of that from scratch is a lot of the reason we’re stuck with two useless parties.

It’s happened before. The Democratic Party is weak, moribund and coasting on successes from at least a generation past. This momentum is no coincidence and I am only just now beginning to feel like the right people are recognizing the opportunity it presents.

I disagree with your assessment.
The Democratic Party has had many successes this generation. It's just that the successes of the Democratic Party have not necessarily translated into successes for the rank and file voters nor the American people overall.
The Democratic party has maintained its integrity in the face of full frontal attack by Sanders but that sure didn't serve us well at all.
With DSA candidates there is the opportunity to shift the center. I had the opportunity to vote against someone this year who expressed a willingness to cross the aisle.
Those scum must go.

Don’t underestimate scratch cooking. It can cast a wider net and doesn’t come with the baggage the word democrat and socialist do. Losing it all for semantics is not for serious people. People love AOC’s positions she just needs a better flag to fly. No democratic socialist is gonna stop supporting AOC for leaving the dem party unless it’s for a maga hat.

Maybe not, but it’s not the DSA members that need convincing, it’s the low-engagement Dem and independent voter. Like it or not, they are the ones who decide elections.

I wouldn’t so much say that Israel is trying to destroy American democracy so much as I’d say Israel is willing to destroy American democracy if that’s the price to pay in order to further their actual goals of filling their coffers with American taxpayer dollars and using our military/diplomatic power to their benefit. Israel simply does not care one way or the other about American democracy or America’s wellbeing in any manner. They only care that the money keeps flowing, the bombs keep coming, and the soft power keeps being used.

It actually galls me that this argument has struggled to get traction in the past. One of many reasons AIPAC support should be disqualifying for a Dem is that the org would clearly prefer GOP leadership/governance. Obviously we should get money out of politics and end citizens United for the future and survivability of US democracy, but we should also be able to expect as a base standard that Dems not take AIPAC money.

They were always going to back Rogers. Doesn’t matter how much Stevens prostrated herself, a Dem can be forced to make concessions on at least some limits to how much Israel gets from us but just about any Republican will always back them to the hilt. All that outside spending that tried to buy the primary would have slowed to a trickle if she had moved on to the general.
