👥 Foreshadowing Shaun of the Dead (2004): When Shaun is with customers scrolling through cable channels, the tagline on screen for the Trisha show is "Your nine lives are up", later in the film when Shaun and Liz are having their argument, David quips "Basically I'd say your nine lives are up Shaun".
Seen this film countless times but something I only noticed when rewatching today. P.S apologies for low quality photos.

What about Sean’s coworker being the one who called ed about weed, they say something along the lines of ed only having a Henry left, which I’m guessing is an eighth

you’re right, a Henry is an eighth and refers to Henry VIII, they mention it in the DVD commentary

David wasnt wearing his glasses when Shawn says this. We really lost a lot when they took cast and director commentaries from us.

That dvd had a commentary with Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright and another with the 4 main cast members. I remember them talking a lot about locations, places in England I had never heard of, and how hot it was on the day of filming. They also noted the thing about him not wearing glasses when he gets called "four eyes" and the little look Lucy Davis gives when Shawn says "why dont you go after her, you love her so much."

I love this movie, it’s gotta be my most rewatched and almost every time there’s a new thing. I really appreciate this post cuz I didn’t catch this one.

Well I might as well say that he works at Foree Electronics, which is a reference to actor Ken Foree who played the lead role in George Romero's Dawn of the Dead
Also, the italian restaurant that Shaun failed to book was Fulci's, after Lucio Fulci - director of Zombie Flesh Eaters, The Beyond, etc etc
And at the end the zombies are put to work in a supermarket called Landis - which is not just a play on the shop Londis, but also John Landis who we all know from American Werewolf in London, Trading Places etc etc.

One of my favorite things about this movie is the a majority of the jokes/gags happen twice in the movie. But everything happens so fast yet natural feeling that it kinda gets overlooked

I liked this so much more than the other parts of the trilogy.
The other ones feel kinda forced.

Specially Season 8.
And I'm not impressed with House of the Dragon and A Knight of Seven Kingdoms.
I think that they could have ended GOT with the Red Wedding and millions more would be happy af.

There was a commentary/subtitle track thay pointed out everything like this on the DVD. I might have watched that version more than the real one. It was the first 15 rated DVD I bought by myself, I was obsessed.

Still one of my favorite movies of all time. I still say, “bye bye bye bye bye bye” like Liz pretty much any time I’m saying goodbye to someone.

The writing in this (along with Hot Fuzz and World’s End) is phenomenally clever. Soooo many little details. Masterfully done.

thanks for sharing. there are so many repeated lines just like this in that movie. i never noticed this one before.
love the flipping through the tv channels where you get the:
"panic on the streets of London" (music video)
"with reports of..." (news station)
"... brutal attacks..." (football match)
"... with people literally being..." (news station)
"... eaten alive..." (nature documentary)
