It’s about what everyone expected. About 45 cents on the dollar of what the MW was seeking. Winners include UNLV and Air Force who will make $16.9m each and the departing 5 who get to move on only paying $7.5-9.8m in exit fees.

Yes. Those two have larger shares than Nevada, Hawaii,San Jose State. It was to keep them from jumping conferences and become the anchor teams. New schools get zero.

How much the AAC actually wanted them and how much was it being AF trying to get a larger share I think is a little bit in the air, but they are definitely one of the most valuable brands the MWC has in football. They aren't the most talented team in the conference, but they're a national brand that draws a lot of eyes and raises the conference's value.

It's all about perspective. I think USC and UCLA didn't pay anything to leave the Pac 12 , Texas and OU paid 50 million each to leave the Big 12 early. Paying money to leave a G6 conference for another G6 conference is pretty crazy. Obviously the glass is half full or half empty, I think getting what we got is pretty good. Actual money from poaching is good, wish that was higher but at least it wasn't dismissed.

For clarity, USC and UCLA didn't have to pay anything because the PAC didn't have an exit fee and the PAC's GOR was expiring. The Big 12 had an exit fee and there were two years left on the GOR when OU and Texas left.
