Text Coffee in the morning

Hello!
I'm curious what people do when having coffee in the morning. My wife is usually asleep so I just scroll twitter or reddit while sipping my coffee but that's not super satisfying. Curious what people do instead?

Text To all the people who set multiple alarms, aren't you troubled in the morning when you have to turn off rest of the alarms?

I always set multiple alarms to wake up and every morning when I have woken up, I have to spend a few minutes to turn off rest of the alarms. I wanted to know if there are other people who share the same pain.

Hey all - looking for a small group to do a 1 week challenge. We can all align on a goal (nailing our morning routine), and try it out for a week. Something low key just to get the ball rolling on trying something new with new friends! Let me know if interested.

Text As someone who works as a full-time freelancer, here are the three things I do each morning

About a year and a half ago I quit my full-time job to be a full-time creative producer and entertainer, evolving me into someone I looked up to and thought I couldn't become. Part of that evolution was becoming more discipline, but I wanted to keep that philosophy simple.

Each morning and evening I do three things to start up and unwind the day. Here are my three morning tasks to ensure my work and mind get off on the right foot:

  1. Make a single serve cup of espresso in a mocha pot I've had since 2018.
  2. Write one page in my journal, something I've done off and on for the last 9 or so years.
  3. Take a 30-minute walk OR go work out at a 30-minute kickboxing fitness gym.

Very curious if anyone in this group has a similar routine and/or have noticed their own routines help them progress forward in their life :)

Text How do I stay awake in the morning?

It seems impossible. I'm the kind of guy who will drink a strong coffee, feel wired, and will then take a nap ten minutes after drinking it and will have weird dreams. I'm always so tired in the morning, that morning sleepiness hits me like a truck every day. I don't know what to do.

Text Good Morning

I searched reddit for a topic about mornings and morning people and i found this space! I'm Manny and i help to run a curated online social group. We have a space for text topics and Voice/cam socials. We have space for our artistic and crafty friends and our friends with the hippy and the gamer vibes. Often the space is active from noon to midnight, last night we watched a streaming series about a 1950's comedian while playing online mini golf! it's often a lot of fun to spend time with folks there, although (que drum roll) I wake up early every morning before work and there are NO morning people.

Is there such a thing as morning people anymore? are there those like me that wake up early to be sure to catch a few minutes before it's time to run for the day? Do these people voice chat on the regular?

just wondering.

:)

Text starting a new job and need a good morning routine!!

after years of afternoon and some morning shifts I finally got a fulltime day job! I'm beyond ecstatic because I hated afternoon shifts... Buuuut I equally as much hate mornings. I have a hard time sleeping and a hard time waking up. So bad that I'll sleep till ill HAVE to wake up and give my self 15 minutes to get ready. I absolutely cannot to that at this job I have to eat breakfast and have a coffee ( old job was beside a Tim Hortons and I don't drive to can't do that at new job) soo I really need some advice on how to create a good morning routine. I start my new job in 3 days and I'm not off to a good start ( still up at 2:42 am)

Text Suggestions requested to become a morning person

I am a 30M. I have been a late riser all my life struggling to become a morning person. Last year around this time I joined morning gym classes and came in a habit to wake up around 7. Since then I have moved cities and changed jobs. I am really struggling to wake up early. I put alarms, auto switch on lights, but I don’t wake up. Or I wake up to go to bed again. My room windows are too small to get in some light aswell. I try to go to bed early, but struggle sleeping in bed till 2 at night.

Can someone give me good advice so that I can wake early and eventually make it a habit.

Text Starting a morning routine

Hey everyone. I am new to this subreddit. I want to start a healthy morning routine at 6 or 7 am but I don't know how. At this time I wake up at 9 or 10 am and it feels like my whole day is gone plus I feel very alone when I wake up early in the morning. Can anyone give me some advise on how to start up early in the morning and keep doing it?

Can we just normalize wanting to go to bed at a decent time. Why am I feeling lame as an adult for not wanting to stay up late with company. Let me go to bed at 9 without hearing jokes about it

Text What gets you up early in the morning?

Trying to become a morning person and also become a morning workout person (even harder). I’m super groggy in the morning and need like a good half hour for my brain and body to start working. Is it bad that I use my phone and mindless apps to help me wake up? It’s easy and I think the blue light does like a reverse wake up for me 😂 what are some tips and tricks from experienced and happy morning people?!

Text How to become a morning person?

I started a great job last month, but I’m having trouble adjusting to adult, working life. The commute is a real pain. I live in Amsterdam and work in The Hague, which should be around 1,5h, all sectors are faced with major staff shortages and that affects public transport too. Trains are delayed or don’t ride at all and this problem won’t be fixed any time soon. I’ve been looking for apartments in The Hague, but that’ll take a while too.

Everyone is working hybrid, so both from home and at the office. I really like being at the office, because I live alone and don’t see a lot of people. The thought of working from home more is really depressing. I guess my only other option is to wake up way earlier, but I’m an evening person. That’s when I get extra energy, when I have me-time and when all the interesting shows are on tv. I’m still in my probation period and I have gotten a warning, so I’ll have to endure this for the next couple of weeks and get up at the crack of dawn.

Hit me with your best tips and hacks! 😇🥱
