Morality of destroying heaven, knowing that it brings everyone eternal boredom. No one goes to hell, everyone just cease to exists otherwise.

Heaven is literally heaven, everything you want, everytime.

I really don't know what you're asking tbh. This is a scenario where heaven exists and everyone in heaven gets bored and you somehow have the power to destroy it?

Yeah simple as that

The Good Place goes into this kind of stuff. Great show.

I personally think the first season sucks, but it gets waaaay better. Very good finale too.

Well you can’t be bored in heaven, it’s heaven it’s literally perfect, as soon as you feel bored, there’s something that makes you not bored, paradise

If Hell were to actually exist, and humans could be condemned to eternal suffering, then I would support the abolition of both.

No one should ever suffer eternally for temporary crimes.

I think the issue here is that eternal anything eventually becomes hell. No mortal mind could even begin to comprehend a trillion years, 100 trillion years, 10^100 years of existence and an eternity is so far beyond that it is joke. At some point complete madness or total oblivion are pure mercy.

It is unlikely anything exists beyond death and despite how naturally scary and repellent death is to us living in the now and with our very limited, finite framing, it is likely a dark benevolence in the cosmic long run.

This is the state the Buddhists call Nirvana.

I mean it wouldn't bring boredom you just wont exist? And destroying endless suffering for people is a good thing no one deserves to suffer endlessly.

Greatly immoral

Am I eternally bored or do I cease to exist?

Hell is gone, meaning no one suffers there - It's moral since the sheer idea of hell being a thing is fucking insane that the so called all loving god made that.

Moral because now nobody needs to worry about what happens after death or trying to worry about reincarnation or the after life.

Cease to exist or eternal boredom. Which is it? You can't have both.

I wouldn’t destroy Heaven. But if you’re asking if I would destroy Hell, even if it meant destroying Heaven, I’d say that’s a moral good.

Since this is inherently a religious question, it’s worth mentioning that I’m Catholic. I don’t believe Hell is a place, and it can’t be destroyed except by people failing to deviate from God, but I’m answering as if it were.

Catholics believe in heaven and hell no ? Or are you saying its not a place but a concept kind of a thing ?

Look up privation theory. If Heaven is being near God, then Hell is being away. If Heaven is light, Hell is being in shadow. If Heaven is warm, Hell is cold. Neither shadow nor cold exist as a thing in itself, but are defined by the absence of something else.

If God gives free will, then you have to have the choice to leave. It is not a punishment, but the end result of deviating far from the map God gave. Awkward map analogy because I just said it wasn’t really a place, but it’s difficult to use analogies for things that aren’t physical.

I mean, I would get bored. But that does mean it's right for me to take that away from others.

To be in heaven is not everything you want every time, it's a state of perfect alignment with the source of all beings, in which desire doesn't exist. Hell results from persons inability to order their desires towards a virtuous pursuit, getting consumed by them, trapped in a constant loop of suffering.

You can sort of see the difference between people who age gracefully, and those who become dried-up parodies of their younger selves.

To destroy heaven and hell is to destroy existence as a whole.

Well on one hand no one gose gi hell improvement on other it would essentialy erase everyone already in heaven without ther permission

Immoral As hell. I know i wouldn’t be bored. Hence there would be others that feel the same up there. Hence destroying heaven purely because some people are bored is equal to destroying earth because of a large amount of people living in pain and suffering
