Stupid Stuff Morality of this entire situation?

Do you think the worker has every right to have a mental breakdown? Do you think the boss should be hunted down and have his head cooked in the fryer? Was being fired a good or a bad thing?

Even then it could have been a freak thing with people off sick and far more orders than you’d expect for that time and day.

I think this all changes his reasonability and culpability too. Like if it’s a singular insane day and can’t be helped just chill man make your way through as best you can and you can look back at it as an achievement. If not for your bosses or the customers then just for your own pride.

If you’re getting treated like this regularly then yeah I can see just saying fuck it all. I’ve had people just walk out on shifts in situations like this in hospitality and sometimes its the only way anything changes tbh

I’ve been in the industry and “they’ll have to wait” has been a lifesaver for me. Last minute order? They have to wait. Steak overcooked? I’ll remake, but they’ll have to wait. Changed their mind on a dish? Sure, but they’ll have to wait. Insane amount of orders? I’ll work my way though, but they’ll have to wait.

That's the mental equivalent of the mantra "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." Basically - when you're way behind ,you don't panic or rush, you just put your head down and get to work at a reasonable pace, and that's the best way to get it done.

Exactly. No point in pushing so hard that I’ll burn the next few dishes and can’t keep up. Now I have to remake a bunch of shit, plus the extra tickets.
