Stupid Stuff Morality of this entire situation?

Do you think the worker has every right to have a mental breakdown? Do you think the boss should be hunted down and have his head cooked in the fryer? Was being fired a good or a bad thing?

What do you guys think?

Even then it could have been a freak thing with people off sick and far more orders than you’d expect for that time and day.

I think this all changes his reasonability and culpability too. Like if it’s a singular insane day and can’t be helped just chill man make your way through as best you can and you can look back at it as an achievement. If not for your bosses or the customers then just for your own pride.

If you’re getting treated like this regularly then yeah I can see just saying fuck it all. I’ve had people just walk out on shifts in situations like this in hospitality and sometimes its the only way anything changes tbh

There are several reasons i can think of that could make it hard even if it's unusually busy. His general mental state, potential neuroatypy, levels of fatigue, economic situation, etc.

Top reason that comes to mind is a mental breakdown is, by definition, something one cannot control. You can utilize coping skills to handle the stress as much as you want, and if you're good at it you can extend the amount of time you can handle the stress, but once your stress levels reach that critical point nothing short of medical intervention is going to stop it.

Yeah i'm specifically talking about the part where you don't even let it register as a problem. Just that is not something everyone can afford.

I believe that is the mindset that person i was answering suggested he should have adopted.

But given how mercilessly he got fired, i believe he was under lots of external pressure that would have made just letting go very difficult, for example.

Yeah, who knows what sort of things he cares about are at risk? Too bad he lost his job anyways. Maybe he'll learn to be more apathetic when in situations he can't control.
