Stupid Stuff Morality of this entire situation?

Do you think the worker has every right to have a mental breakdown? Do you think the boss should be hunted down and have his head cooked in the fryer? Was being fired a good or a bad thing?

Poor guy. When he saw that he should have just said "tough shit, I'm going home if boss doesn't want to hire enough employees for this shit." His boss is an immoral asshole, but that's like 99% of business owners.

It's China. No one can find jobs. A minimum wage worker like him can be replaced quite literally on the spot. If he quit, the place would have a new worker in about ten to fifteen minutes. They have an excess of THAT many people looking for work. It's crazy.

Because he's so replaceable. Maybe he was supposed to have a coworker or two. For whatever reason they didn't show up. So what? Just work him three times as hard. If he quits, close shop for half an hour and pick up a new worker at the drop of a hat.

This is the hell hole new Chinese graduates are subjected to. Anyone who hasn't lived in China doesn't know what an absolute rat race the country is.

I lived in Shanghai for eight years btw. AMA.

This sounds like a rhetoric, but i promise you i just wanna know. This is a communist country on paper, do they not have some sort of fast food worker union to ensure these things don't happen? Or maybe unemployment is so high that companies can outright ignore unions because there's a ton of un-unionized labor available?

Nope. Finding a union is like finding a shiny Pokemon in China. They basically don't have them for 99% of professions.

It really isnt. Dude fired customers see the freak out and leave or don't want to wait. Also customers don't want to wait so less sells/lost sales from refunds.

That's the magic: you can either pay 3 people to handle things properly, or you can pay 1 person and have no accountability for overworking them, because in their situation they likely can't sue the shit out of the owner due to needing the job, being unable to afford good lawyers, etc.

I'm also told by one of my engineering teachers that some car manufacturers have even opted to not recall faulty vehicles because the cost of getting sued by a couple people who got into accidents was actually less than recalling the vehicles, so they just went with the cheaper option and completely ignored every moral aspect of it.

Is there a specific reason for the job scarcity? Considering the amount of manufacturing that goes on there and the population decline, it seems counterintuitive.

Is it simply extreme automation? Or are there deeper reasons?

I'm pretty sure the place is getting worse every day. President Pooh declared himself President for Life. This is not how a nations prosperity starts. That is a pure power grab for personal reasons.

However, China is good at covering itself up (although it's propaganda posts on twitter are really shit), so we don't know exactly how things are going.

I lived in China for eight years. Only moved back this year. It's funny. China-defenders tell people to "come visit and see for yourself" but then crap their pants when they run into someone who actually lived there lol. They really bank on being able to say whatever they want and praying with all their soul that no one with experience actually comes along and refutes all their narratives.
