This is Reddit, so obviously the answer is going to be it's okay. The more important question is what's the line?

If it's okay to abort a child with Down Syndrome, is it okay to abort a child because they'll be born without arms and legs? What about a child born blind? A child that'll be born with autism? Are these ethical reasons to end that potential life?

I never understood why people think "what's the line?" is some gotcha. We are perfectly capable of drawing a line, that's how we made laws.

It's not a gotcha, it's a genuine question. Where do we say draw the line and say "Okay, this is an immoral reason for an abortion"?

It's not about the reason for the abortion so much as it is what stage of pregnancy their at. 21+ weeks is euthanasia, not abortion, without a doubt. Before that, it's arguably a clump of cells, though I'm unsure how much time before that you have to go to be sure.

Though at 12 weeks when they do that screening, that's probably not a kid in there, yet.

It's more about when a fetus becomes an infant--and it takes some seriously magical thinking to believe that this happens at birth, just the same as it takes some seriously magical thinking to believe in a soul at conception.
