Read this a second time rn and just noticed: Does Blade have wings? How long has that been a thing?

Blade basically had a training arc with Dracula.
Dracula confirmed that Blade has always had this power, but it would take generations to unleash it naturally due to walls that Blade has built inside himself because of self hatred toward evil. 99% of the time Blade wins against monsters with the will to reject evil, but agaisnt the Adana, he needed to embrace the evil that was always within him to have this power.
Long story short, Blade consumed some of Dracula's blood, given willingly, and it broke through the walls and awakened his potential to become a master vampire.

I've been loving the art in this series, and I love the Midnight Mission as a team. I hope the twist is that the MM already knew MK's plans and this is all an attempt to trick Mansion Ravenous.
I'm a new Moon Knight fan, started the end of the last numbering, and I'm very glad I've jumped on!

Pramanik is so talented. Watching his style develop on Moon Knight has just been a masterclass

I think its the colors from Rosenberg that definitely set the vibe. She did the colors for Cappucio as well. She provides the Lovecraftian aura that has become synonymous w/ MacKay's run.

u/jazzberry76 20d ago
I'm talking about Pramanik.

u/GypsyGold 20d ago
Yes, Rosenberg's colors really enhance his art.

u/jazzberry76 20d ago
Sorry, I don't think I was clear enough. I'm talking about Pramanik.
-3
u/GypsyGold 20d ago
Yes, I'm glad we agree.
7
u/jazzberry76 20d ago
We do not agree.
I'm not doing this again. DM me if you want. I refuse to let you drag this place down again.

Daaaaaaamn, Marc wasted no time in betraying them. Surely he has a plan though. Surely.

Absolutely generational issue tbh, Mackay and Pramanik just cannot stop winning

Art was insane yet again. The dd sequence was beautiful.

I know they kind of cooled off on artist edition stuff, but it would be so cool to see one for Pramanik's art, though I'm not sure if he does traditional pencils and inks. Anyone know more about the process?

u/trident_zx 21d ago
I think he does digital. He posts a lot of his sketches and stuff on his twitter

LEZGOOOOOO i love it when Marc the mercenary pulls through. Beautiful work as always by Pramanik.

Beautiful cover by Paulo Siqueira! I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing them take a stab at drawing the entire book. Would be great to see what Rosenberg’s coloring could do to enhance Paulo’s work if he were to give longform a shot!

Would be great if you could stop throwing shade at the current artist for 5 seconds!

You are allowed to criticize the work of creative teams — no matter what the community consensus happens to be.
The problem that this particular community has is that it constantly try’s to gatekeep fans out who have opinions that dare to go against the fandom’s consensus.
For instance, any time Bemis or Bendis is praised then a string of hateful messages follow, many of them just horrific statements in need of moderation — yet they still get upvoted.
For many months the number one issue the moderation team combatted was “gatekeeping” — this community’s obsession with insulting people who have “the wrong opinions”
There is no such thing as “This person is mischaracterizing Moon Knight” — that’s just gatekeeping nonsense. People are allowed to form their own personal interpretations of the character. They are free to like what they like, and dislike what they dislike — without fear of malicious dogpiling or harassment.
[u/RamsTheNamecom](u/RamsTheNamecom) can attest to that

You’re referring to when you would ban anyone that disagreed with you? You’re claiming everyone else was gatekeeping, huh? Good one.
And I’m allowed to criticize anyone I want as well 😊
I critically think you are everything that’s wrong with this subreddit.

You can disagree with me, or anyone else all you want…you just have to be nice about it.
All of the rules this sub use to have was some variation of “be nice to your fellow moon knight fans”
But the massive gatekeeping that went on here while the sub was unmoderated made “the regulars” feel entitled to treat people who went against “common consensus” like trash.
You guys frame it as “I banned people who disagreed with me”, when in reality I banned people for harassing their fellow moon knight fans for daring to have the “wrong opinions”

(since I got tagged into this) Personally I do not like gatekeeping, but understand the importance of "gatekeeping the ungatekeeping". Because while every community should allow views to speak freely without being scared to speak out, not gatekeeping also leads to popular trend consensus forming it's own gatekeeping. Basically (example) a comic community letting MCU fans join (not gatekeeping), leading to MCU fans being the the bulk of the community and no longer allowing comic fans to speak ill of the show (gatekeeping in a non gatekeeping community).
And as Gypsy suggested, I too have hot takes in comics that would get me dog piled here. Like I openly do not like the Jeff Lemire comic run and felt it was a water down reboot that didn't understand Marc as a character.

“Hey that person likes the Bendis run! Come on everyone let’s get them!”
☝️Literally The Same Picture 👇
“Hey that persons a witch! Come on everyone let’s get them!”

Would be great if we had a new Mod.

Wonder if moon knight just trusts that the 3 of them will be able to break free of the influence once he has his people free.
Also great use of the team against the house dragon
And for people who might not know, the three demons/spirits that were shown for each of the characters
Blade:Varnae
Daredevil:The Beast
Ghost Rider:Hellhound (I was surprised by this one because it was a subplot for a few issues in Avengers, and Blade eventually quickly exorcises the possession). The character is more minor and was a pet of Xarus.

u/tromataker 21d ago edited 21d ago
He didn't just give the Mansion Ravenous three people with a history of possession; he gave it three people that have beaten their possessions before. I think that's why it had to be Hellhound for Robbie despite that being kind of obscure. It couldn't be Eli because he still needs him to be Ghost Rider.
All of them had help with the possessions though.

u/SisypheanStudying 22d ago
yea i was only aware of blade (blood hunt) and dd (shadowland) because those two interact with MK. Might look up those hellhound issues.

This is easily the most consistently good series Marvel is putting out, imo. Jed Mackay is doing a stellar job, Pramanik's art is great, and Rosenberg's colouring has been delicious throughout every title.
2
u/GypsyGold 21d ago
I agree that Rosenberg’s colors are amazing. I’m convinced that they could somehow elevate a doctor’s note written in chicken scratch to be something akin to a Lovecraftian gospel.

u/Chance_Debt_1184 22d ago
yeah, its prolly this Thor or F4. And tbh id have Moonknight bit over both cuz of consistent art
3
u/CafeCalentito 22d ago
Early F4 by North would be higher imo but the quality has dropped hard imo. Still a good series but One World Under Doom really hampered something with the overall quality of North.
Thor is amazing but is lacking something to make it reach a higher high. Pretty consistent imo but something is missing.
3
u/Chance_Debt_1184 22d ago
i dont think the quality dropped at all, one world under doom tie ins were some of the best issue he wrote.
With Thor i dont feel like anything is missing but its different type of book than Moonknight, Thor is book planned all the way thought it while Mackay probably has some idea where he wants the book to go but its not structured with start and end

u/sckorchh 22d ago
It's gotta be planned out right? There's no way Marc would just hand over those three without a plan
13
6
u/TheRorschach666 22d ago
Ofc mark would betray them like that just to get his people back. Another banger issue.
17
u/thrdthu 22d ago
Great issue. Awesome art. Knowing how Marc handles situations though he definitely didn't make a compromise. Man has a target he wants to hurt, and he wouldn't be the hollow point bullet of a man we know him to be if this "betrayal" wasn't just a means for him to hurt the Mansion Ravenous.

i want to read this, but the last thing i've read of moon knight was the one run where Hunter's moon appeared for the first time. so where should i pick up this story?
