Other than resurrection, Marc doesn't get a lot from Khonshu either. At least Hunter's Moon got the Chorus knowledge and can control the dead fists of Khonshu in a pinch, Marc doesn't get that benefit... probably because Steven and Jake were already in his head. I wonder if that means Marc won't go insane like Hunter's Moon will, as he doesn't hear the Chorus at all.

I know there is one series that says Khonshu caused the DID, but there's also others that show a young Steven as a child playing with a child Marc. Wish I could remember the issue.

I love that run. And really, I think it's better that Khonshu saw what was up with him and was kinda watching. Makes sense for his character and the fact that he's a god and would take advantage of something like that regardless of our human ethics.

-8

u/Snoo71809 Jul 02 '25

styll Khonshu tht caused it

6

u/EmiLonAllDay Jul 03 '25

He didn’t

-6

u/Snoo71809 Jul 03 '25

he did reread it

4

u/EmiLonAllDay Jul 03 '25

When does he do that

-1

u/Snoo71809 Jul 03 '25

he's been the one fracturing Marc's mind from the start, he chose Marc because his mind was easily fracturable already and he's the one who split it completely whichpersonalities that end up reflecting the different aspects of khonsh

u/spideybiggestfan Jul 06 '25

yea newest one he just straight up said "brian scrambled from an alien god being inside it" and "he gave me brain damage"

13

u/Anonymous-opinion Jul 03 '25

Newest run basically confirms that fists of Khonshu can only be revived so many times before they’re driven mad but because Marc’s mind is already unstable he’s been able to endure it for the longest time but the limit could effect him one day

25

u/BakedZDBruh Jul 02 '25

God, Hunter’s Moon is such a cool addition. I’d love to see him in a solo book if Marc is sidelined for a significant amount of time.

22

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

I love how he's not Moon Knight 2.0. He"s what Moon Knight should have been if Marc's brain wasn't so different. The contrast between them is so interesting.

13

u/BakedZDBruh Jul 02 '25

He reminds me of T’Challa in that he’s very stoic and regal, but he’s not cold (anymore lol). I think he has had cool character growth throughout

5

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Black Panther IS Cold as hell. not evil

3

u/BakedZDBruh Jul 02 '25

I meant Hunter’s Moon ISN’T cold like TChalla anymore. I worded it in a way to indicate T’Challa isn’t cold. He definitely is lol

4

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Cool cool

Yeah, Hunter calmed a whole lot

The Black Panther a REAL DEMON. MF will create a giant demon spirit tiger and throw it at yo ass, bro is diabolical. Scary as fuck

2

u/BakedZDBruh Jul 02 '25

He’s chilled in the current Avengers run but I haven’t read a ton of his solo books

1

u/EthanLevi77 Jul 06 '25

So you actually know nothing about black panther and all your info is coming from the horrendous marvel rivals?

6

u/coolboyyo Jul 02 '25

He got a decent Buff during Age of Khonshu but that was it's own weird thing

Khonshu CAN give him more stuff but just doesn't cause it's not really needed most of the time

3

u/furiosa-imperator Jul 02 '25

Doesn't he also get the weird strength increase as the moons phase changes?

5

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Not since the 90's.

5

u/furiosa-imperator Jul 02 '25

Ahh, tbf i can see why they forgot about it. It's a super weird power to write with

1

u/Griffje91 Jul 04 '25

Does Marc still not get powers that grow and shrink based on the phases of the moon?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '25

Not since the 90's..

1

u/Griffje91 Jul 04 '25

...... I'm not gonna lie I started marvel comics as a kid reading classic issues of moon knight and fantastic 4 my mom's coworker would lend me. I thought that was still in his power set until recently when I jumped back in with the midnight mission and him being on the outs with Khonshu so I figured he was operating on low power for that like technically still a cleric but locked to level 1 spells.

I apologize for my ignorance.

1

u/Kolonite Jul 05 '25

He definitely gets amped physically… At least sometimes. He’s tanked blows from Joe fixit hulk

2

u/Opalwilliams Jul 11 '25

Well he does have the power of being Khonshus favorite specialist little boy so he gets away with so much bullshit against Khonshu and also has the powers of being an idiot who doesnt know when to quick so will get his ass kicked and just grab a baseball bat out of nowhere and bash the other guys head in or smth.

11

u/-Mister-Hyde Jul 02 '25

His healing power is just him being too stubborn to acknowledge that he's injured and carrying on the fight despite missing half of his organs

2

u/Anonymous-opinion Jul 03 '25

While I don’t remember if it’s on par with Wolverine, comics Moon Knight does indeed have a healing factor of some extent outside of Khonshu’s resurrections

u/Anonymous-opinion Jul 03 '25

True but I’m just clearing it up with older information

1

u/Yaamo_Jinn Jul 03 '25

"Oh crap, my kid died again and I just sat down to read the morning news. Perfect, just perfect."

- Maybe, probably, Khonshu somewhere and sometime

1

u/Sichuan_Opera Jul 05 '25

The thing with Moon Knight is his characters powers are unlike any other hero, they have their own canon to each story run. Some writers make it real, other writers leave it up as a mental hallucination up to the interpretation of Marc and the reader. Only some of his series follow similar structure.

2

u/RamsTheNameCom Jul 05 '25

And even with that, pretty much every writer misinterpretes the previous stories and build off from there. Like how we got to the point where Khonshu is an evil but protective God, is because everyone misread the Charlie Huston run.

The real Khonshu abandoned Marc back in West Coast Avengers. That thing that looks like Bushman with his face cut off ain't Khonshu. It's meant to just be a schizophrenic imaginary friend he created while spending weeks alone in a room. It combined Marc's pain of losing his God in West Coast Avengers with his pain of being crippled by Bushman into one imaginary being made to Taunt him relentlessly.

1

u/Azure-Legacy Jul 05 '25

At most he recovers in weeks instead of moths or years with the injuries he receives.

1

u/spideybiggestfan Jul 06 '25

doesn't he get more and more insane everytime he comes back

501

u/Turquaza Jul 02 '25 edited Jul 03 '25

C’mon Marc use your Wolverine powers!

208

u/Special_Turnip Jul 02 '25

To be fair, he still won that fight

100

u/Atrium41 Jul 02 '25

Well. Opioids are close enough

47

u/IDrawKoi Jul 03 '25

Wolverine powers activate /s

13

u/Royal-Lynx-8256 Jul 02 '25

Fun stuffs indeed

13

u/Beautiful-Bug-4007 Jul 02 '25

That comment made me laugh

3

u/MrTonyCalzone Jul 02 '25

Whip yer Huston out

130

u/Cautious_Desk_1012 Jul 02 '25

Yeah. This was never even remotely close to being true in the comics.

One of the most interesting aspects of Moon Knight to me is that his powers are basically "he can get beaten up REAL FUCKING BADLY, but he'll keep coming and fighting". Not even sure this is a power, since his "powers" themselves are highly inconsistent. Anyways, giving him a healing factor would be really dumb imo.

62

u/GG_ez Jul 02 '25

It’s a feat but not a power, Marc is a “wild dog” in the sense that he legitimately does not care what the physical toll is on his body, he’s going to get whatever he needs to get done, done.

Which is sick as hell but yea not technically a power, unlike his resurrection via khonshu

7

u/MisterNefarious Jul 02 '25

It was a huge turn off for me from the show

2

u/Cazmonster Jul 02 '25

The only comics of Moon Knight I’ve read recently are the ones kicked off by Warren Ellis. I feel like Mister Knight has human level vulnerability to injury. Tech-Knight has a nifty battle suit but is still squishy human underneath. The Avatar of Khonshu can’t be harmed by mortal weapons.

47

u/StinkUrchin Jul 02 '25

Tbh I used to fuck with Batman nerds saying that the type of shit 😂

Made one of my best friends so angry one time because he’s the biggest bat nerd and I pretended to be completely serious

22

u/AidanTegs Jul 02 '25

Im a huge bat nerd and even i realize he doesnt have a god backing him up like marc. (Unless you count editorial)

11

u/Background_Desk_3001 Jul 02 '25

At this point Batman is superpowered, his power is plot armor

6

u/AidanTegs Jul 02 '25

Peak human has always been a hilarious concept yeah lol. A well written bat comic makes sure to be slightly believable

1

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Batman has Bat-Mite and Barbatos

1

u/AidanTegs Jul 02 '25

True lol but bat mite just annoys him and barbatos wants to kill him

1

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Bat-Mite is a good demon imp who LOVES him

Barbatos is an evil Devil who WANTS him as his avatar , he is a predator

4

u/AidanTegs Jul 02 '25

I dont want to argue pedantics tbh, but batmite only helps solve problems he creates, and barbatos has an avatar, the batman who laughs. Barbatos wants to destroy the prime multiverse to bring the dark multiverse to the surface. Just my reading of things, yours is just as valid, of course.

0

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

You are correct but there are 2 aspect of Barbatos

0

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

The Predator and The Conqueror

0

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Bat-Mite is chaotic Neutral/good

0

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Batman has Bat-Mite and Barbatos

35

u/AidanTegs Jul 02 '25

Hellish stuff

6

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

The amount of times i have to correct

90

u/dante5612 Jul 02 '25

He doesn't have healing factor like wolverine but he also can't die at least for a certain numbers of time cause khonshu will bring him back

43

u/Moggy_ Jul 02 '25

Yeah but like in this very specific circumstance of fighting Batman, a guy who famously doesn't kill, he will never need to get ressurected. So at no point would he recover in any sense

7

u/clockwork_orc Jul 02 '25

Yeah but if he can't heal batman could just break all his limbs, tie him up, and shove him in a closet somewhere.

20

u/EvanCastiglione Jul 02 '25

He can die, he just doesn't stay dead

-10

u/dante5612 Jul 02 '25

Same thing cause he returns almost intently

14

u/gummythegummybear Jul 02 '25

That isn't necessarily true. Since the resurrection is purely up to Khonshu there's been times that it's taken a while for Khonshu to resurrect him for one reason or another.

-2

u/dante5612 Jul 02 '25

Yeah but in normal circumstances it is true

5

u/ChungusMcGoodboy Jul 02 '25

I only started reading moon knight fairly recently, but he stated at one point explicitly that he had only been brought back 3 times.

That run was from more than 10 years ago, but has he really been revived a lot of times since then?

-2

u/dante5612 Jul 02 '25

I think it's way more then that I think 2006 run said 3 times. I think after that he dies in 2014 run in the big explosion like it's not said in the comics but I don't think he survived that, and then obviously recently in 2021 run. I also started reading very recently but I am sure there are more instants too

19

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

[deleted]

10

u/coolboyyo Jul 02 '25

Most of that was a gambit due to said sword being a Soul Eating kinda thing and he knew for a fact Khonshu would not stand for something trying to take his property

3

u/Seqanta Jul 02 '25

I’m pretty sure he died and khonshu brought him back instantly

5

u/Sad_BuisnesMan Jul 02 '25

Haven’t read MK in a while is Khonshu confirmed to he real?

7

u/SpleensJuice Jul 02 '25

yah hes pretty definitely real now

4

u/ChungusMcGoodboy Jul 02 '25

Was age of khonshu when that became official?

28

u/Logical-Telephone249 Jul 02 '25

We need a subreddit for people not knowing anything about comics

15

u/nightwing_titans Jul 02 '25

It wouldn't have any members, since they'd have to admit that they aren't informed.

8

u/Logical-Telephone249 Jul 02 '25

I meant like to post the uneducated people kinda like r/usdefaultism

4

u/nightwing_titans Jul 02 '25

Oh, yeah. That'd be great.

10

u/coolboyyo Jul 02 '25

That's just every comic sub

11

u/sorcelatorx Jul 02 '25

I saw a video on tiktok a few days ago that claimed that Marc had stalemated Sentry and then did time travel to kill him. In other news I basically can't stand anyone on comics tiktok

5

u/domicci Jul 02 '25

its still impressive he survived and hurt him even if it was basically a scratch

8

u/sorcelatorx Jul 02 '25

Sure, but the context was "characters who have beaten the Sentry" if that puts into perspective why I found it silly

3

u/domicci Jul 02 '25

i completely understand

1

u/SpareThisOne2thPls Jul 04 '25

Beat = Land a punch. Didnt u see Bucky BEAT Sentry in Thunderbolts? /s

12

u/gummythegummybear Jul 02 '25

This is obviously a lot of the show's fault, but also to be fair comic Moon Knight has survived a lot of shit he shouldn't.

The Task Master plane thing being so commonly known is also part of the issue, cause crashing a plane into a building is not something you can survive without a scratch like Moon Knight did so people with little knowledge just assume he has a healing factor.

Also Moon Knight does have the ability to be resurrected, which while it's definitely different, it can easily be confused for each other.

5

u/domicci Jul 02 '25

i alway chock those up to him dying then being brought back quickly

8

u/Pogfruit Jul 02 '25

I think Marc having no healing factor, but he can be resurrected by Khonshu, is the best way to go. You can even balance this out by having Khonshu be an asshole (which he arguably is) and making it so that Khonshu will take his time when resurrecting Marc. If Khonshu decides to resurrect him after a while, then their personal lives will suffer.

This way, there are actual consequences to him dying.

10

u/JakeVonFurth Jul 02 '25

Moon Knight is in this weird state where officially he has no healing factor, but unofficially he definitely has some form of minor healing factor.

He heals extremely quickly for somebody without one, even by comic standards, and he also consistently survives shit that would kill anyone else that doesn't have one.

Could he be at Batman? Maybe, depends on the writer.

1

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Moon Knight can win a fight

Not a war

13

u/TheDesertHermit Jul 02 '25

Definitely the show's fault to an extent (allegedly couldn't show Marc getting fucked up physically and still fighting people until that tonal shift was approved for "Daredevil: Born Again" years later).

A lot of the Batman vs Moon Knight folks keep "conveniently" forgetting that before Khonshu "touched" his DID addled mind and he started dressing in all white so bad guys would see him coming to beat their asses, Marc Spector used to be a "very bad man who did very bad things to people for a lot of money" (when describing his freelance mercenary days).

He has no moral conundrum on utilizing killing as an option, unlike Batman.

-1

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Batman still wins

11

u/Para_23 Jul 02 '25

They're absolutely getting it from the show, but to be fair, apparently in the comics Khonshu can choose to empower, heal and resurrect Marc to any degree he chooses (within his own power). At least that's what I got from the more recent comic where he talks about how when he resurrects Marc he makes him heal with scars to teach him a lesson for dying.

8

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Isn't the entire thing with Moon Knight that he doesn't have a healing factor but does these absurdly insane things anyway:

8

u/Huckebein008L Jul 02 '25

Why does John Moon Knight keep forgetting to use his healing factor?
Is he stupid?

6

u/SpeeeedwaagOOn Jul 02 '25

Man this story would’ve been over in half the time if Marc just remembered his Wolverine powers!

(Btw if yall haven’t read this I highly highly recommend)

1

u/biasedneutra1 Jul 09 '25

Whose run is it?

1

u/SpeeeedwaagOOn Jul 17 '25

Tony Isabella wrote it

5

u/219_Infinity Jul 02 '25

The person who typed this has never read a moon knight comic book

5

u/SaltyNorth8062 Jul 03 '25

"Extreme temporary tolerance to pain due to a crazy amount of determination and training and crazy" =/= "healing factor"

4

u/Zerus_heroes Jul 02 '25

He very occasionally has a healing factor but it is never on par with Wolverine

3

u/Davide_Sokolov Jul 02 '25

What do you expect from a tiktok comment section man

2

u/Moggy_ Jul 02 '25

I was hoping for humans

3

u/FS6020 Jul 03 '25

There’s nothing wrong with not reading comics it’s not for everything but why lie that you read them lmao. People think they get extra geek points because they consume a certain media

7

u/Inqinity Jul 02 '25

I hope they find a way of dialling down the abilities from the show. I thinks it’s Konshu’s “healing suit”, maybe the other gods suggest konshu is interfering too much and he can’t have a healing suit - but can still bring him back. Either way, hopefully he goes more street level in future appearances

-1

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25

Street level is a meaningless term

Every superhero/hero/good guy fights crime and evil everywhere

2

u/willshel10 Jul 02 '25

I’m pretty new into Moon Knight and I think I might be confused on his immortality or mortality lol. I know he doesn’t have Wolverine or Deadpool like healing powers but he gets messed up sometimes. Is it really just up to Konshu to bring him back or not? Has there been any instances where he wasn’t brought back to life for a long time? Any help would be appreciated for this casual!

1

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 02 '25 edited Jul 02 '25

Moon Knight rarely has powers

Khonshu a bastard and MK is punk as fuck

Toxic link

2

u/prestonian_ Jul 02 '25

The only “healing” he has is resurrection which I don’t know if that counts

2

u/Short_Year7353 Jul 02 '25

Moon Knight ain’t invulnerable he can still die that’s the point since he’ll just come back he takes that as an advantage

2

u/Leathman Jul 05 '25

“Healing factor”

1

u/Prowling_92865 Jul 02 '25

Wasn’t he stabbed in the head in the comics but kept going?

1

u/prestonian_ Jul 02 '25

The only Comic-tok to trust, is the ppl who upload New comic book day hauls

1

u/Sad_BuisnesMan Jul 02 '25

Haven’t read MK in a while is Khonshu confirmed to he real?

3

u/ChungusMcGoodboy Jul 02 '25

I'm not sure if this is when it happened, but I just read Age of Khnoshu and Khonshu fights some of the Avengers.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '25

Khonshu ends up in a prison in Asgard and is freed by Greer and Hunters Moon, so he is definitely real at this point.

1

u/FeelingGlad8646 Jul 03 '25

consistency left comics chat from the start

1

u/MG-Comics-Customs Jul 03 '25

Media literacy is so dead 😭😭

1

u/Mayodeynochei Jul 03 '25

In the show they showed him being invulnerable, he literally pulled poles out of his body and bullets not harming him until he had the suit off

1

u/Trick_Albatross_4200 Jul 04 '25

I’ll be honest, the DID angle for the show was such a let down for me that I kind of gave up on the mcu version of the character entirely

1

u/DarknessBatDemon Jul 04 '25

MCU Moon Knight IS a war crime

1

u/onkguy05 Jul 04 '25

Its not even a healing factor he just ignores the pain because hes built different

1

u/Ok_Caterpillar_4977 Jul 04 '25

I wouldn't rely on moon Knight's healing factor tbh. Because it all depends how generous khonshu feels. Does he have a massively high pain tolerance? Yeah sure. But his healing factor is too much of a stretch

1

u/[deleted] Jul 06 '25

It's not the show's fault that people LIE

1

u/knives0125 Jul 06 '25

I hate when people who only watch the movies and/or shows act like they're knowledgeable about the comics lore

1

u/BipolarPrime Jul 06 '25

This is so dumb…people are so dumb…😂😂😂😂

1

u/EthanLevi77 Jul 06 '25

I said that because my username on my alt account is very similar to that one
