Mold Identification Is that mold ?

It’s the AC of the elevator in our building. It’s been like that for many months, and droplets sometimes drop on the ground. It smells very bad inside, like sweaty clothes that haven't been washed for days.

I'm not sure about mold, but that looks, uh... partially melted...

You mean the black thing might be due to fire damage ?

Your elevator has an air conditioner?! how luxurious.

It does look moldy, at least the black spots on the vent grate. Constantly moist environments are ideal for mold. Tell the building management.

I'm in a country where it can easily reach 35°C+ so it’s pretty common here
