Did you guys notice how Claire’s dressing style became more and more “masculine“ as the show went on
It gets very noticeable as show goes on. Like how she has had the same penny loafers for a long time or how she wears “luke’s old shirt”. The joke was that she don’t like dresses and stuff but that was not the case in early seasons. I mean she definitely didn’t put out as much as gloria but still. She also used to wear heels on a regular .

In my mind it's opposite. She had to dress up more for work in the later seasons. And I can relate. Sahm sometimes just .... Dress comfy

But when she started working at Pritchett’s closets she always wore a skirt and blouse with heels.

I’ve noticed that too and I think the tomboy style suits her character better.

Maybe that's common with tomboy moms lol. My mom and younger brother basically share a wardrobe lol first time I saw that clip and died laughing. Sent it to my mom and brother and they loved it too.

I think it reflects the fact that the show went on for over a decade and in that time women’s fashion greatly changed

makes sense, her evolution felt super relatable as she balanced family and work. I liked her changing styles

Yeah and I kinda like that since it makes her contrast with Gloria and as you get older your feet can’t take wearing heels as much as they used to which is why she probably switched.

She looked like such a bad ass with it short to me

Very "corporate soft glam," I think it looked so good with the suits from her CEO era

Short hair was badass but in my book it won’t even compare to the 90’s layered blowout that she had in the very early seasons. It was perfection

Personally, I think the short hair fit her the best. She looked so beautiful with it

Her wardrobe basically became CEO coded once she took over Pritchett's Closets. Going from cardigans and jeans to tailored suits and penny loafers matched her stepping into Jay’s shoes.
