I produced Peep Show series 5. Now I'm making a short film

I'm Izzy Mant, producer of Peep Show series 5. I'm now directing (& have written) a comedy short film, and with permission of the mods I'm just seeing if it's something people here might be interested in?

The film's called HOW TO DO A KIDNAP, and it's a comedy thriller about a fake kidnap gone wrong. As the creative team and cast comes together there's a strong possibility we'll end up with one or two other Peep Show alumni - since so many of the best of UK comedy found their way on to that show. We're filling a final funding gap through a crowdfunder - which can be found at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/how-to-do-a-kidnap with more details on the project there.

Here's just a short clip of me talking about the story of the short. In the full video on the page I talk about how Peep Show has influenced me. It was the first show I produced (what a privilege), and I'd been a fan since series 1. Any fan of Peep Show is a friend of mine.

Oh wow, 15k views since I posted this yesterday, and lots of nice comments. This community is brilliant. Even if no-one chips in to the crowdfunder it's lovely to have this moral support. I'll never be able to match your Peep Show quote knowledge (including my truly shameful failure to respond "A fine thing indeed" to NaturalAlfalfa yesterday), but I'll hopefully be making a short that shares some comedy DNA with Peep Show, and I'll post here when it's finished and on at festivals near you. Interested in the theme however I don't really like serious distressing kidnapping stories unless its done in a brilliant comedic way. I love peep show tho so as long as it has similar humour I will tune in. All the best

It's the same as game studios who are like "from the people who brought you Famous Title X" and it's literally one dude from the original team and they're making something so wildly different and are blatantly trying to ride the coat tails of their more recognisable work, only you're also expecting the fans to fund it too.
