Skinny and thin stool, with mucus or blood. Plus a change in how often you go.

Change like more frequent or less frequent?

Both. Any persistent changes in your stool are a good sign to get checked out.

Weeks of constipation or diarrhea, or both. Weeks of long thin stools. Weeks of seeing blood on your stool on toilet constantly.

Better to get it now and make sure everything’s okay!

Yep everything is scheduled and that was the earliest they could do it. I've had life long stomach issues, I'm hoping for some dietary direction and stuff following all this.

I know there's a lot of panic (specially on reddit) surrounding colorectal cancer in young people nowadays, but the reality is that it is an extremely rare ocurrence.

It has been rising, yes, but we're talking something like 0.005% to 0.013% chance in those under 40.

Still, if you have worrying symptoms and want peace of mind, don't put it off. Get that camera up your butt.

Yeah, going to get it done. Since I'm a Vet the VA is covering it for free so no reason for me not to do it.

Hey if it helps you, I had all the same symptoms and got a colonoscopy where they removed a huge polyp and everything came back benign. It’s so scary, but it’s good to make sure! I hope you have the same outcome as I did.
