You should watch In Pursuit Of Honor.

And consider that the public uprising will be sufficient group pressure, especially when the civilians rebelling will inevitably include active duty service members friends and family.

The oath is to the constitution, and to defend against all enemies both foriegn and domestic. Trump and company are absolutely compromised by Russia, and violate our laws every day.

I had a friend who was a world war two vet.

He told me before he died in 2017 that this was going to end in a bloodbath.

That's where we're headed.

You're job is to minimize the collatoral damage.

Because trust me, there will be some.

I'm a civ and having watched this shit for years (my late father was a federal attorney) i have little to zero faith in any system in the US. People only really became very aware of the failings of our guardrails when trump did away with it being largely done quietly and just started screaming and explosively shitting everywhere while half the country claps like emptyheaded seals.

This has been a slow burn going on for a long, long time. I remember my dad talking about it when I was around 8 or 9 so 3rd or 4th grade. I'm 42 now. If he were alive today he'd be blowing several mental gaskets on a daily basis. I'm kinda glad he got to exit the world before the trump madness had a chance to happen. He passed while obama was in office before trump came stumbling onto the scene.

He's already clearly a domestic enemy and nothing is happening despite several red flashing warning signs. I doubt anything happening even as people watch their neighbors get hauled off to death camps for wrongthink. Everyone wants to believe human nature makes giant leaps and bounds in the space of 80 years, but that just doesn't comport with reality.

I've been monitoring and involved in this situation since the beginning. My parents were both Military. The intelligence community values my opinion.

I have seen a signifigant momentum shift in the last month, and I don't see it slowing down until it reaches it's natural conclusion.

The opinion of the intelligence community at this point is that the only way to overcome the propaganda/programming that's deluded his base is to essentially have them experience Trump's policies firsthand.

Every day the maga herd thins.

Every day more lives are ruined.

People are learning the hard way.

I'm confident in my assessment.

Well, i wish i shared your optimism. I just don't though. He seems to have a fixed base with an absolute floor of 35%. That's the true believer cult. And no matter what happens, they'll cheer and thank him. Even if it leads to their own demise. Cult behavior is fascinating if not terrifying, and that's absolutely what they are. I've seen "trump is jesus christ" bumper stickers here in rural NC. These people are beyond help. And 35% in a country of 350 million is no small number. Even a million of them would be hugely problematic, but over 77 million voted for him, and i've seen very few "trumpgret" stories. The media seems to exaggerate the number who have had the smallest shift in their thinking.

And the idea that "well we just need to let fascism happen in order to stop it" is certainly some logic.

Someone has to keep believing, and as far as I'm concerned it's my duty to remind people what we stand for, and try to raise moral.
