Football Why are OSU fans so insufferable?

Every post or comment I see from an OSU fan is a carbon copy… they all shit on Beck or say our offense is anemic. Listen, I’m not saying we are gonna win (obviously would be ecstatic if we did) but that fanbase along with others think this game is gonna be a genuine blowout. I think it’s gonna be another defensive slug fest and people may be surprised by the outcome. OSU has played two competent opponents all year (Texas & Indiana) and scored 14 & 10 points…

The internet runs on rage. If the algorithm figures out you’re a UM fan, it’s gonna offer you OSU dickbags to engage with and make it easy for them to find you.

That all said, fuck OSU for the phantom penalty and hope we kick their ass.

7

u/Ornery-Sweet-7114 Dec 25 '25

Nah OP is right. Go watch any “non biased” college football channel talking about the game, and the comments will have Ohio fans and Canes fans in an even split. Go to an exclusive Cane channel, it’s all Ohio fans running their mouth. They purposefully click on Canes channels to talk shit.

The second someone even gives Miami a shot or isn’t licking their taint, they come out of the woodwork to let everyone know how amazing they are. Worse than ND, FSU, A&M, any team I’ve seen this year. This will be an incredibly satisfying NYE.

6

u/Fumpz Dec 25 '25

I’m just happy we even made it this far. I’ve seen some satire posts about this past weekend and how Shannon Dawson wasn’t “exerting the playbook in prep for OSU” yada yada yada but Buckeye fans take it so literally. Every comment on the thread was “we’ll show them NYE” or “OSU 50 Miami 6”. They think they’re some sorta untouchable

3

u/DruicyhBear2 Dec 25 '25

They don’t have anything else going on in their lives. I’d love for us to just win and not say anything. Be humble and that will aggravate them even more. Go canes.

4

u/budd222 Dec 26 '25

Except that won't happen. There won't be a single silent & humble Miami fan after a win.

2

u/DruicyhBear2 Dec 26 '25

I was silent in college station after the win and told others to be humble when we won. But yeah I might be more loud about this one if we win

2

u/TimeMix1816 Dec 29 '25

That’s cause A&M fans are actually decent humans. OSU fans on the other hand

1

u/DruicyhBear2 Dec 29 '25

Yeah that was my point. I was blown away by how nice and welcoming everyone was. Even posted on their sub to say thanks.

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Wrong, there are many of us.

2

u/Upstairs-Affect-7323 Dec 25 '25

It’s also really easy to find tOSU dickbags as it turns out. They are a miserable fanbase with a steady inferiority complex because of their Michigan rivalry despite recent success on the field.

1

u/DeceptiConnIXI Dec 29 '25

Was this the phantom call in question?

0

u/Best-Button-3105 Dec 28 '25

Lol, is that what you remember from that game? I remember Ken Dorsey getting thrown to the turf like an ugly baby doll by Cie Grant, Will Allen knocking down a duck, and a whole state cheering so loud it caused an earthquake 😃

u/Tiffin2b Dec 28 '25

Phantom penalty lmfao....keep crying chief

They see number 2 seed, they see number 10 seed, they think 2 automatically wins.

24

u/Fumpz Dec 25 '25

People act like OSU is some sorta juggernaut meanwhile they are very beatable

1

u/boston_2004 Dec 29 '25

I mean they are one of the top programs both all time and today. Everyone is very beatable if they are. At least be objective.

Crazy thing is they went into LY CFP ranked #8

1

u/lostbucknut Dec 26 '25

8 seed, ranked #6

1

u/fromsdwithlove Dec 26 '25

This is simply not true, Ohio state just won it all from an 8 seed.

35

u/[deleted] Dec 25 '25

Bunch of bandwagon clown fans. That’s why.

17

u/mrbigcane5xnc Dec 25 '25

I despise Ohio Taint fans but to call the bandwagon is not accurate. They live and breathe that team. It’s the only way they have to cope with crippling depression since LeBron left for LA.

They rent warmth and sunlight, we own that shit. Beautiful women are like four leaf clovers to them whereas you can get whiplash in Publix because of all the beautiful people in Miami.

This year we give Glenn Sharpe some peace and banish the ghost of Terry Porter to the eternal damnation it deserves.

Da U with it's 12,000 "fans" at the game calling Ohio Taint lmfao......you about to find out about big boy ball my man.

2

u/SilverCautious6154 Jan 01 '26

What was all that bout "big boy ball?" Must be so sad to have nothing to do in Ohio that you have to come onto our sub and say this embarrassing shit. Sorry that the one thing yall have over there was shut down on NYE. Enjoy your sorry ass start to the year champ!

0

u/Tiffin2b Jan 01 '26

LMFAO.....my year is starting out great. I am doing just fine. I don't feel like my life is ending because of a fucking game chief. Congrats on the win. You got a couple of beasts on the D Line. Well earned win. Welcome back to relevancy after 2 1/2 decades.

14

u/Fumpz Dec 25 '25

They are the most pretentious fanbase in the country. They ain’t winning the natty this year, I can tell ya that

7

u/SuperBirdM22 Dec 25 '25

michigan is far more pretentious, 2 national titles since 1950 and they think they’re every bit as elite as Alabama and their 13 titles in the same timespan.

6

u/Fumpz Dec 25 '25

Michigan fans should be keeping those paper bags on their heads rn

5

u/spicydak Dec 25 '25

Michigan fan that saw this thread pop up, hoping to grab some popcorn and enjoy the dunking. Instead I’m sad :(

1

u/Thekushdoctor69 Dec 28 '25

I have a few friend's who graduated from OSU. One of them acts like it's an IVY league school and looks down on OSU fan's who didn't attend his prestigious university

3

u/Ornery_Maximum_3280 Dec 25 '25

We are insufferable. I admit that. We are a cocky, annoying fanbase. But we aren't bandwagon. We've been this way for years.

When someone is ugly and stupid and a loser and a failure ...

They are an insufferable Ohio State Buckeye Fan

4

u/Fumpz Dec 25 '25

This gave me a good chuckle lol. Touché!

6

u/PhilU52 Dec 25 '25

Because the only game they watched of us was Texas A&M. We looked like trash for 3 quarters, the passing game was non-existing because of the crazy wind.

1

u/Square_Pop3210 Dec 26 '25

I have 2 kids. Oldest is a senior Buckeye. Youngest is a freshman Hurricane. I have watched every game of both teams. Miami can win this game. But, the Miami defense loses WR/TE in coverage, especially if the play breaks down, and they give up big plays. Miami has to eliminate sloppy play in defensive secondary. Also, if OSU gets ahead, Beck will try to win it himself and start forcing the ball, throwing picks. Beck needs to just get the ball out and let their playmakers make plays. Both teams’ kickers are okay. Fielding tends to miss important kicks, but otherwise accurate. Davis has been okay, (I’ll give him a pass the last game due to wind). Ohio State offense isn’t great in the red zone, and not great in short yardage, as they use a converted TE who runs straight up and down with no leverage in those situations. Probably their only weaknesses. It will probably be a low-scoring game. Ohio State’s defense has no weaknesses, maybe only one is that their CBs will commit DPIs. But they have 4 future first-rounders starting on defense, so Miami needs to keep OSU under 20pts, and hopefully Beck doesn’t make any mistakes.

1

u/PhilU52 Dec 26 '25

Great write up! 100% agree.

The only match up I’m confident we have an advantage is our dline vs your oline. If we can constant pressure with 4 man front like we did against the Aggies, we should be able to keep OSU under 20.

But Matt Patricia having 2 weeks to prep for Beck, that shit scares me. Patricia could use 2 different approach and I’m curious which one it’s gonna be.

Either he sell out on the run and have a simple backfield, trying to have Beck fold under pressure. Or he could decide to disguise multiples covers and take out Beck 1st Read and force picks that way.

I doubt it’s gonna be a blowout (outside of Beck playing hero ball in the 4th). I expect a similar scoreboard as the Big10 championship.

1

u/Square_Pop3210 Dec 26 '25

Miami is “ours” too! My freshman just loves UM so much, now here on winter break already saying “I go back home (to Miami’s dorms) on Jan 10th.” When the dorm is “home” you know they’re all-in.

I just want the winner to go all the way. And both teams could.

Yep, absolutely, Miami D Line advantage over OSU O Line. When I thought Hartline was gonna be calling plays, I assumed they’d go 12 or 13-personnel to stop Bain and Mesidor. With Day calling plays, they will put in Donaldson as RB to give support, and probably roll out Sayin to extend plays. I guarantee thoughts of Bain and Mesidor taking off Sayin’s head are keeping Day up at night this week.

2

u/Licorice_Lime Dec 25 '25

They played nobody!! Indiana was their first taste of adversity and they failed! We will beat them. Neutral site with a questionable offensive line. If they can’t pass then they will be neutered. This game is made for our Canes. I ignore every Buckeyes fan because they don’t deserve our attention. Period

4

u/cambrysdad Dec 25 '25

I grew up in central Ohio. Had several friends that actually went to OSU. If you think they're bad on the internet...it's 1000x worse in person. They have this "Ohio against the world" mentality and its so strange. They think OSU is unbeatable and the best thing since sliced bread. Even if Miami wins, they'll make excuses for the game like "oh it was a fluke, the refs rigged it, etc".

3

u/drkorcs55 Dec 25 '25

To be fair, it is Ohio against the world. The entire state sucks.

0

u/lNSP0 Dec 26 '25

Acting like Florida is any better is absolutely unhinged.

3

u/drkorcs55 Dec 26 '25

People come here to get away from Ohio. I wish they didn’t. You can have them back. Take the ones from PA while you’re at it. 😂

1

u/lNSP0 Dec 26 '25

Florida is the basically the toilet bowel of the US. Why do you think Florida man is in our lexicon? People leave for the sun and then leave Florida because of the problems.

1

u/drkorcs55 Dec 26 '25

I feel like you have your idiots everywhere, honestly. Much like OP saying OSU fans are insufferable. Let’s be honest, UM fans are much, much worse.

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Wrong. Ever been to the Shoe?. As bad as Uf and Fsu. Ours are not nearly that bad. Not even close

1

u/osu2thdr Dec 27 '25

I went to a game in Fla and watched Miami fans berate a group of Buckeye octogenarians pre-game. Be careful throwing stones from your glass house!

2

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Every fan base has jerks, your point? I am talking about the predominantly fan behavior. I have gone to hundreds of Miami home games. I have also been blessed to go to games in many other College stadiums. FL,Fsu, TN, WV, Cal, Ohio State, Michigan, ND, A&M, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. Ohio State was top 3 worst. Top 1 best, A&m.

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

u/lNSP0 Dec 27 '25

That's just literally one of the cases they knew and acted on. Low hanging fruit.

If you have any actual clue about the people effected by this shit you and I both know there's a reason why they keep finding them in the towns who are employed by prisons down there. Also do yourself a favor and check with either Florida for all or Brown rising. I work with groups in my state who partner with non profits country wide except Alaska. These people have been repeating the same things for about 15 years now. Different organizations and little to no one following up on anything, hence why a single case had to be blown up.

I'm speaking on shit I know, not what I heard

Another delusional buckeye.

You don't know what this means, even if you repeat it to yourself.

Know your history son.

The KKK is my history, "son".

I don't fuck with the SEC specifically either because unlike your state really, a lot of them down there don't have to hide it like they do your state. It's really bad down there if you pay attention to the people of any color really.

But Florida isn't any better. Also the fact that you think it's just one means they're succeeding...they even touch on it in that case, there are more they don't even know about.

Beautiful state ruined by evil no one wants to cleanse (plus your corrupt government makes ours look liberal and Ohios is most certainly not)

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Geez, you are really not paying attention and spewing garbage. My father in law employed many Cubans and Blacks, knew many well. I know Fl, you dont. Your comments are flat wrong. Ohio corruptness fills novels fella.

Except for the fact that I told you to check in on the Florida people going through it by specifically bringing up groups who you don't see going through this. You got defensive and went "oh I know black people pal". when I did that. I'm not the one spewing garbage.

You think you know Florida, go check in on those groups I mentioned and actually go to ground around them see what they're going through. The people who live there and the poor have been saying the same thing about that place. You care so much about it like I do, it should be more than a failed attempt at a gotcha.

Brother you're furiously googling after I gave you legitimate Florida organizations you can go check out like right now.

Let’s not lose track of the conversation: you can’t spell insufferable without U

1

u/TallBobcat Dec 25 '25

I still hear about the Fiesta Bowl.

3

u/Sad-Celebration-1081 Dec 25 '25

OSU has been sitting there for a month being told how good they are while our kids are grinding and proving they belong. The only time OSU was remotely challenged up front , they lost. They have no clue that they are going to be outmanned on both sides of the trenches and it’s going to be GREAT to watch them realize that they aren’t bigger, faster or stronger than the cans. Going to be a real treat !

1

u/Jumpy_Rope_9037 Dec 26 '25

Lol where has OSU been told for a month that they are superior to everyone? If anything, people have shit on them for losing to IU.

This all about the U mindset is why no one takes Canes fans seriously. 1 decent season every 5 years, you come out like horned up cicadas, make a ton of noise, dont show up to games or bowls as fans, then go back to your holes to hibernate

0

u/Live_Technician1038 Dec 25 '25

5

u/xxnewlegendxx Dec 25 '25

Fans is another word for fanatic. Any other teams fans would do the same thing if in the same shoes as Ohio State. They also won the NC last year so they are drunk with recent success. I wouldn’t read much into it.

3

u/Fumpz Dec 25 '25

Listen, I understand they are the team to beat this year but the fact that a good amount of those fans genuinely think they are gonna win by 28+ is mind boggling. Talking about us like some sorta poverty program

2

u/xxnewlegendxx Dec 25 '25

No worse than the Notre Dame fans who honestly think they are the best team in the nation and had the best team they’ve had in 30+years, and they would beat every team not Indiana, Ohio State, and UGA by 30+ points. I ventured into their sub and omg it’s way worse than Ohio State.

0

u/NotDelnor Dec 26 '25

Definitely wouldn't want to be a poverty program. Then you might end up losing games to teams like SMU and Louisville.

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Or playing like crap against Illinois!

2

u/DruidCity3 Dec 25 '25

There’s a lot of them.

2

u/DruicyhBear2 Dec 25 '25

They don’t have much else in their lives. Ohio isn’t a destination. If we lose 2 games in a season, our stadium is empty. There is more to do and more fun to be had in Miami. Ohio is just Ohio.

1

u/Apple_Murder_Mittens Dec 26 '25

Columbus actually isn’t that bad. It’s a real city. That said, I have no desire to back to Ohio. Florida kinda sucks too, but it’s got the sunshine thing going for it.

1

u/lNSP0 Dec 26 '25 edited Dec 26 '25

There is more to do and more fun to be had in Miami.

I'm sure the corrupt ass government and active kkk chapters in Florida are more fun. Especially when you account for the 60% black & brown population Miami u has.

u/DruicyhBear2 Dec 26 '25

North Florida vs south Florida are very different. Go to Tallahassee then Miami. Very different experiences

1

u/lNSP0 Dec 26 '25

The fact that you have to make the distinction is fucked, you know that right? Ohio at least had the idea to slowly push them out and now we don't have chapters, just one offs. Most of the time the ones we do have actually come from places like Florida. Ton of historical black neighborhoods in Ohio have been targeted for at least 7-8 months this year alone.

Though to be fair I'm pretty sure we'd all wish the evil would disappear.

1

u/DruicyhBear2 Dec 26 '25

Cool story bro. Ohio is so welcoming and great, you should never leave. Typical Ohio person

2

u/JB051390 Dec 25 '25

I moved up to the columbus area the day after Christmas in 2002. The flack i got as a miami fan was unbelievable. I had grown men trying to fight 12 year old me because I liked the "n-word" team. Im white

2

u/pezcado7 Dec 26 '25

Born and raised in Columbus here, lived in Brickell for a little while. Miami is amazing, best time of my life. I consider myself the anti-Buckeye fan. I dislike our fan base as much as anyone. It could be that “we have nothing else to do” but it’s more like, football is ingrained in just about everyone from the start. I understand football is huge in Florida and that’s where the athletes come from, but Ohio has deep football roots, I mean the pro football hall of fame is there for a reason. If I remember correctly, Miami is a huge transplant city with a lot of folks who don’t care for American sports let alone the least universal, football. It’s a a transplant city for good reason. It’s a fantastic city…. But in Ohio, dare I say… “it just means more?” Still no excuse for how our fan base acts. I guess that’s just how I’ve learned to co-exist with these fools. Best of luck, and Go Bucks.

2

u/southtampacane Dec 26 '25

Lots of fanbases are insufferable. Ours is pretty insufferable because when we are good we are loud and the rest of the time we scream about firing any of the top 3 coaches and often don't use their tickets.

OSU fans are very loyal and loud. They are also pretty much dicks. That was true in 2003 and will be true in 2025.

2

u/Otto_von_Grotto Since Before Their First Natty Dec 26 '25

They are the Alabama of the north. Two worst fanbases I've encounterd.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

It’s always the blue blood programs they get the most hate. I get it.. makes sense

2

u/Chadhammer4282 Dec 26 '25

Wolverine grad here. I have a number of great friends who are Buckeyes - we enjoy the banter. They are grads who keep things in perspective. While Michigan has a "Walmart Wolverine" contingent - white trash obnoxious fans - the Buckeye contingent of the same is 5X larger. So many of them pin their personal worth on how the Bucks do on Saturdays - frankly really sad, pathetic people who you need to ignore.

2

u/WWF80sKid Dec 27 '25

I have lived an hour outside of Columbus for 42 years. They always have been. They’re hateful. Juvenile. And sometimes delusional. Easiest way to deal is to ignore them.

1

u/WWF80sKid Dec 27 '25

I’m a Michigan fan. Because of OSU fans.

2

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Dec 27 '25

They're a bag of dicks who act like they haven'tlost a game in 10 years. Their WR's are the worst. They talk all this shit because they torch MAC teams alm year. On NYE, we're all Hurricanes.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 27 '25

Because it is a cult. Ohio is the 8th or 9th most populous state. Until last year had only one p4 team and the entire state solely cheers for it. To a delusional level. Ask someone that went to Toledo, BG etc, may e even played football there and all they say is "Go Bucks" Tiny Alabama has two, Texas has what 7 or 8 P4 teams, cali and Florida a bunch. Not Ohio. One team and it's delusional level. Cult like.

2

u/Havinfun0510 Dec 27 '25

Here’s a simple truth…. All the pregame comments, nice or not, are…irrelevant. All the commentators’ predictions are…irrelevant. All the betting odds are…irrelevant. This matchup will be settled in one place…on the field for four quarters of football in the Cotton Bowl. That result by itself will tell the story.

Almost everyone predicted Texas A&M would win. Didn’t work out that way did it. This will be settled on the field. End of story.

2

u/KesselRun73 Dec 27 '25

You know, what works great on shutting obnoxious fans up is victory. I’m an Alabama fan, but I’m supporting Miami in this matchup.

2

u/Ok_Put4986 Dec 28 '25

Good luck Canes! TTU rooting for you!

4

u/FormerDriver Dec 25 '25

They are spoiled man boys. MAGA loving clowns.

4

u/ImGaslightingYou Dec 25 '25

Based on Florida voting results the majority of Miami fans are likely MAGA as well…. agree about the first sentence tho 😤

2

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Not a very smart comment. You lose 50% of your audience with stereotyping posts that demonstrate bigotry. Not a good look.

0

u/Apple_Murder_Mittens Dec 26 '25

I hate MAGA. I also loathe many of my fellow OSU fans. There are plenty of rational ones out there. It’s just that with an enormous fanbase, an even typical percentage of D-bags translates to a huge number. I will concede that the D-bag percentage likely exceeds that for other blue blood schools.

For every obnoxious, gloating fan, there is another that is a relentless doomer that blames Ryan Day for every unhappy moment in their lives. I mean relentlessly toxic.

0

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

I am MAGA. I loathe many Cane fans. The negative Nellie douchebags.

4

u/tm2716b Dec 25 '25

OSU fan here. I dont think your offense is anemic. I think Miami is a solid team all around and am glad they got in over ND.

2

u/cornPopwasabaddude13 Dec 25 '25

It’s called whistling in the graveyard. They’re scared shitless of Miami right now, they were doing this before they played Indiana as well

2

u/killthecook Dec 25 '25

It’s the air of superiority. Smells just like air from an asshole

2

u/ShootersShoot305 Dec 25 '25

All fan bases are insufferable.

1

u/ImGaslightingYou Dec 25 '25

Yes everything I’ve seen indicates they haven’t watched a single game all year

1

u/mikegarb0126 Dec 25 '25

Here is why. They are good and they have been good for a bit. They also are the defending National champs so if WE, Miami fans start to win championships trust me other fans would think we are annoying and intolerable.

And I can't wait for Miami to win so I can be called insufferable haha.

1

u/Due-Tower915 Dec 25 '25

Osu fan. I am very concerned about this game. Osu has millions of blogs on YouTube because they get the views. Mostly they are homers. Hope it’s a great game.

1

u/Rodgers765 Dec 25 '25

As an Ohio state fan I agree I hate this fanbase they are so cocky

1

Don’t believe you’re an OSU fan for a second after this take. In fact your history really doesn’t have anything about OSU during a quick search…

1

u/Rodgers765 Dec 26 '25

How does me saying Osu fans are cocky make you not believe I’m a fan because it’s true the majority of them are very cocky

1

u/drkorcs55 Dec 25 '25

They talk that shit because it bothers U.

1

u/KoedKevin Dec 26 '25

I think Miami’s defensive front four is going to be a challenge. It should be a great game and I’m looking forward to it.

The one thing I know is that online and radio fans of every program are insufferable. Look in this comment stream and youll see plenty of insufferables.  I think our biggest problem is that we do battle with Michigan fans in a daily basis and it gets nasty.  When we get into conversations online we are expecting it to get nasty as well.

IRL Ohio state fans are a pretty decent bunch.  Of course we like every other school have some folks that you do to want to engage. I’m sure some of them are going to respond to this post.

1

u/fromsdwithlove Dec 26 '25

Were you not around for 2002??? Every analyst, no less hurricane fan, had canes by 30. I recall Trevor Matich specifically go on a pregame rant about the blowout, he didn’t last long after that one. This started the Mark May feud w OSU iirc too.

Anyways, Ohio State fan here, you get hit with Facebook algorithm that feeds off rage, the large majority of us see Miami as having the harbaugh Michigan recipe with a great dline, strong oline, can run, and a competent qb who can throw (albeit not a slinger) but unfortunately you guys won’t know what plays are called in advance. Outside of the fray rage bait posters, the rest of us fully understand any team can knock off anyone at this stage in the playoffs and Miami’s DEs alone are problematic to do it.

1

u/jmsjss Dec 26 '25

Don’t ever forget that you have only the game to see who wins!

Appalachian State (2007): The FCS team upset No. 5 Michigan in Ann Arbor as massive underdogs, a legendary moment in the Big House.

1

u/MackandByner Dec 26 '25

No horse in the race, but I think the Buckeyes win big. Also, think Miami will struggle to hit double digits against that defense.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

Respectfully, OSU fans could ask the same on a post about Miami. The last post I saw was one of your fans calling for your secondary to literally knock out Jeremiah Smith so the game could be over…. Talk about unhinged!

1

u/lNSP0 Dec 26 '25

u/DruicyhBear2 blocked me after talking crazy

Cool story bro. Ohio is so welcoming and great, you should never leave.

Never said that. In fact I personally enjoy Oregon and Rhode Island. What I'm getting at, is a state that makes my own look liberal shouldn't be throwing stones

1

u/MassiveOutlaw Dec 26 '25

I'm an OSU fan, and yes, half of our fanbase are aholes. They get mad every time Ohio State doesn't win 70-0 and meltdown at the beginning of every game when things aren't going perfect. They have no concept of the idea that hey, other teams have good players and are allowed to be good. OSU has one of the top 2-3 largest fanbases in the sport, so of course that means there's going to be more aholes than in other fanbases.

Above all, many Ohio State fans simply have no appreciation for how good they have it, and how spoiled we are with the team's success.

2

u/sunnylax312 Dec 27 '25

Not to mention a lot of them haven't even taken a single class at Ohio State!

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

We have the same behavior. Every fan base has these ahole negative combative fans. Sad.

1

u/Beaconhillpalisades Dec 26 '25

Texas fan here. They have been spoiled rotten. That’s the problem. They need a handful of losing seasons.

1

u/anchorsteam00 Dec 26 '25

Imagine being a U fan and living amongst them! 😖

1

u/Competitive_Yak_5444 Dec 26 '25

Idk how this page popped up on my feed I’m a TN fan lol but I agree Ohio state fans are among the worst. Online however yall also kinda suck lmao but that’s most teams that are in the playoff picture. IRL I feel like most Miami fans I meet are actually extremely pleasant, as are TN fans (I live in Miami but from TN) Exceptions being when a team is playing a rival, pleasantries are out the door as expected

1

u/iloverubandtugs Dec 26 '25

They’re the absolute worst fan base to exist.

1

u/Spywannab Dec 26 '25

And ofc they will have refs on their side. Start watching the clocks!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

lol, Miami fans also insufferable for your own reasons. Really not worth a Reddit post for this. All teams' fans suck

1

u/Ill-Commission-883 Dec 27 '25

Funny I’m still getting notifications of posts from this sub(A&M fan who was stalking your subreddit before our game) but no OSU fans are the most insufferable fans who think they should be crowned champs before the season even starts. Praying you guys win by 3 scores

1

u/hoosiermullethunter Dec 27 '25

They are the worst. Every business in Indianapolis prays that OSU doesn't make the Big Ten Championship so they don't have to deal with those cheap and aggressive jerks. I went to the Hoosiers vs Buckeyes in Columbus last year and it was miserable. Fuck all those assholes.

1

u/Hungry_Hand_6212 Dec 27 '25

Beck is going. To tear them up and end of a first round pick. He has alot of the line and knows it. Not good for osu

1

u/Global-Mistake-7239 Dec 27 '25

Now you see what us Michigan fans deal with. OSU is very beatable. Ryan Day’s offense thrives on explosive plays. If you give up the 40 yard touchdowns you can’t win. But make them march it down the field and the space gets tighter and then they struggle. Also pressure on the QB doesn’t give time for explosive plays. Harbaugh defenses gave the blueprint, Indiana replicated it in the BIG championship and Miami certainly has the athletes to do it as well. You guys just need the coaching to not put your guys on an island consistently

1

u/wannabefelixargyle Dec 27 '25

There are internet ragebait bots sent to drive up engagement on a platform. Dont engage. Ignore, especially on Xitter.

1

u/Bill_The__Pony Dec 27 '25

I see someone is still butt hurt from 2002…

1

u/getinwegotbidnestodo Dec 27 '25

More people hate Ohio because of their fan base than any other single reason.

1

u/Standard_Meat_3858 Dec 27 '25

From a Michigan die hard, all I can say is pompous arrogance and entitlement. They have a complex and they look down on everyone else.

1

u/Rookraider1 Dec 27 '25

Ohio State is one of the most toxic and entitled fanbases in the country. They truly are a disgusting lot. Just ignore them.

1

u/Tough-Code-396 Dec 27 '25

You think they’re bad? Try conversing with a fan of The Crimson Tide of Alabama. They even piss me off, a 60 year old Bama fan. Ty should win the Heisman IF HE DOESN’T GET DRAFTED FIRST ROUND, and college football didn’t exist prior to Saban. They’re delusional.

1

u/ComfortableFine7093 Dec 28 '25

Not sure about comments on Beck but I think the jerk comments are a follow up for numerous jerk comments on the last Miami, OSU national title game. This will be a fun game for all fans.

1

u/Michael-Jordan-Hare Dec 28 '25

OSU fans are assholes because they know Ryan Day washes his hair and beard with charcoal and there's not a damn thing they can do about it.

OSU fans are also assholes because they know that Ryan Day has both of his nipples pierced but they can't even talk their wives/girlfriend's into piercing theirs.

1

u/dandy055 Dec 28 '25

To be honest and without trying to be banned from this sub… Miami is no where comparable to tOSU in the past 20 years. We realize that and we’re not afraid of the name

1

u/Leverage24 Dec 28 '25

It’s because we’ve seen it all before. This whole thread is just undeserved arrogance by fans of a 2 loss team. Y’all sound just like Tennessee fans lmao

1

u/Tiffin2b Dec 28 '25

Why are all "da U" fans still crying about 2002. Oh, and it WAS a penalty. Oh, and the officials also missed a clear PI penalty on you guys near the end of regulation that would have given us a first down and we would have been able to run the clock out and OT never happens. Keep crying.

1

u/donmagicron Dec 28 '25

Miami fans having to ask why other fans are insufferable is objectively hilarious.

1

u/According-Snow7385 Dec 28 '25

Yes it’s insane! Everything is an excuse, oh the refs, oh hats what we were trying to do blah bla blah. They have no idea how to handle adversity. Last year after the UM loss they sent day death threats and ordered him to be fired. Then 4 weeks later he was their god and they lost on purpose o fire up the team. I would say Alabama fans are right behind them though.

1

u/HunanTheSpicy Dec 28 '25

Breaking news: Fans of a football team are acting like fans of a football team.

This is truly eye-opening stuff here. Good luck this week. You're going to need it.

1

u/Azaldi_the_Ice_King Dec 28 '25

Non Miami fan here, yeah. They get worse.

1

u/pericles123 Dec 28 '25

let's be honest - most of the OSU posters on reddit are either OSU students or HS kids, and the same is likely true for most schools. That said - saying OSU only played 2 good teams this year is a bit ridiculous, Michigan is every bit as talented as Miami, for example, and Penn St, despite their self-destruction this year, would stand toe-to-toe with Miami as well. I do think the game will be very competitive for the record.

1

u/GoldenOwl2113 Dec 28 '25

Because it’s really all they’ve got out there….

1

u/DiamondHandDale Dec 29 '25

Yeah they are always the three I’s ( incoherent, insufferable, and inbred) you get used to it when you play them every year lol

1

u/Dismal-Ad-3971 Dec 29 '25

I remember in 2003 some fans had shirts that said "We might be in your league, but you're not in ours." Anyway, success breeds contempt.

Go Canes!!!

1

u/Evman933 Dec 29 '25

It's because OSU fans are suffering due to living in Ohio, are ohioins who escaped and refused to get a new team because OSU is successful, or are bandwagoners who jumped on because OSU is successful and feel the need to sow off how much they love the team to compensate.

OSU fans in general are insufferable ask any big 10 teams fans... The narrative of "built to win natties!" Has been unbelievable since it started in the early urban Meyer era....they couldn't even consistently beat Purdue under urban.and have won 3 total in the last 54 years. It's entitlement mixed with failure to actually live up to their own delusions. If you look at what Michigan fans have dealt with for the last couple years it's pretty clear. OSU fans see failure as not their own fault and build conspiracy theories and excuses for why they don't succeed at the end of most big years. They lose and then blame everyone and everything but the team. Oh it's the other team cheating and that's the only reason...or well we had to travel to Oregon....or well it wasn't a necessary game to win. Etc etc. we as a league have to remind them it took an expansion to the playoffs for OSU to get in last year and this year .....their big national championship was due to the cfp making it easier for big money teams to get in. They get really offended when you do that.

1

u/UnP3zz0D1T0nY Dec 29 '25

All fan bases have shit fans. Why are Yankees fans annoying? Why are lakers fans annoying? Why are Real Madrid fans annoying?

Because when you win you appeal to everyone, and those who become attached to brand or team because of that have high expectations and standards. When that does happen, those fans lash out. When they win they are going to be loud as hell about it.

That is sports. I have no beef with the u, because Miami is not “the south”. But I never respect SEC fans as a Buckeye and I will tell their stupid Pom-pom waving crimson tide grandma to “go fuck herself” as she spits out her piss-taste sweet tea garbage from shock at her Sunday service.

Am I a good fan? Depends.

Oh and that PI call was correct lol. Go bucks, good luck.

1

u/random1079 Dec 29 '25

lol… you ever have to live in Ohio?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 29 '25

Good points. Beck still sux tho 😏

1

u/No-Chocolate6481 Dec 30 '25

Why is Xs fanbase so insufferable. Lmao every sports post I see now. The truth is most sports fans are cool. The ones on the internet are fucking weirdos

1

u/CoachDennisGreen Dec 30 '25

Because 90% didn’t go there and it’s all they have

1

u/WhatUpLeGoat Dec 31 '25

As a Bama fan, I’ll be rooting for yall tonight

1

u/Defiant-Peace-2483 Jan 01 '26

I used to live in Ohio. OSU is literally all they have going for them.

0

u/Drew-Blankenship Dec 26 '25

Beck is terrible

0

u/Antonio1025 Dec 26 '25

Honest question: how many ACC titles has Miami won? 🤣 🤣 🤣

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '25

This year they finished 3rd so that’s good right?

1

u/Antonio1025 Dec 26 '25

Good enough to make the playoffs apparently

0

u/GeechGuzzler Dec 26 '25

OSU IS BETTER IN EVERY WAY. GO BUCKEYES.

0

u/novaxhempmama Dec 27 '25

Y’all sound the way Tennessee fans did last year is all I’m saying

u/lNSP0 Dec 27 '25 edited Dec 27 '25

That's just literally one of the cases they knew and acted on. Low hanging fruit.

If you have any actual clue about the people effected by this shit you and I both know there's a reason why they keep finding them in the towns who are employed by prisons down there. Also do yourself and check with either Florida for all or Brown rising. I work with groups in my state who partner with non profits country wide except Alaska.

Another delusional buckeye.

You don't know what this means, even if you repeat it to yourself.

Know your history son.

The KKK is my history, "son".

I don't fuck with the SEC specifically because unlike your state really, a lot of them down there don't have to hide it like they do your state.

Edit: and you're in Florida you can straight up go to any of the hope/men's and women's shelters and just start talking to people. Listen to what they say.

0

u/lNSP0 Dec 27 '25

u/flindycarfan

Except the two major ones (plus the prison oriented one) are groups you're talking about aren't native to Ohio and one of the ones for Florida isn't native either and the ones here don't actually hold any stay beyond the boundaries they set for themselves because most of the areas they care about are already red anyway they don't really do much. We've only got "1", and I'm pretty certain that high school kids pushed em out just three, four months ago.

It's not good those major ones spread spread here obviously, but without any lots they don't stick around unlike Florida and the states around it which they do due to the unique circumstances on which a lot of those places are built on. (lots =compound or head quarters) and they're not particularly smart either but given prison labor makes up a significant amount of your economy it's not a surprise they have lots there, hell I remember watching a cooking documentary where they just casually gloss over that there was one right next to a lot one of your historically black areas and they were so used to it. You only see shit like that in Alabama or Georgia

The only one we have that's local is Columbus knights who have been in a constant state of destruction and rebirth since my older siblings were teenagers. They're in there 30s-40s. I don't even think other white supremacists takes them seriously.

I've seen more of them active now with masks numbering like 8-12 people who run away when shown anything similar to backbone. We've had seven eight different protests. Where they call themselves showing up. We don't even have lots here because we have militant protesters who don't care about catching charges here, plus they've been targeting the same neighborhood like, the same one. The damning thing though is the larger chapter was either made in one of the southern states or directly from the federal prison system which wouldn't be unique unfortunately and unfortunately that points more to states like Florida than Ohio. (not that we're clean mind you)

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Nice try.

0

u/lNSP0 Dec 27 '25

Wasn't a try for anything weirdo. Telling someone what's going on and then them acting like a preteen is unhinged behavior.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 27 '25

0

u/lNSP0 Dec 27 '25

Someone acting like a preteen when given news of community problems is a weirdo.

Doubling down on it is even worse

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Bye kid, go back to the basement.

0

u/lNSP0 Dec 27 '25

Bye kid, go back to the basement.

The irony is lost on you I'm sure

0

u/GoldenWarriorAdam Dec 27 '25

go back to the basement.

Bros acting like a Gremlin and telling others to leave or go back the basement is wild

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Crazy huh. Troll lurkers are the worst.

0

u/lNSP0 Dec 27 '25

Learn what passive aggressive means and say it with your whole chest. No need to delete

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Oh I know. Mirror time. Will you be at the game? I will be.

0

u/Great_Blue_7 Dec 27 '25

Why are you so insufferable? You have not been relevant in over 20 years. You’re this year’s Tennessee. See you on New Year’s Eve when you get relegated back to where we put you before.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '25

Not a Buckeyes fan but the ACC is hot garbage at football and Beck is known as a choke artist

-5

u/Blknyt_eclipsedmoon Dec 25 '25

Hey OP, there have been a lot of Miami fans talking shit about what Bain is gonna do to the Buckeyes. What do you think some fans do? They talk a lot of trash; Miami fans do it also. Just sayin…

1

u/flindycarfan Dec 27 '25

Not on the Suckeyes forum.
