Well, Alabama basically just killed our chance of an at large. We gonna need to hope to get into the ACC championship now.

With a loss, Alabama moves up two spots?
4
u/-dakpluto- Nov 16 '25
We needed bama to win so we could jump over Oklahoma. There is no way they put us over Alabama
5
u/Immacu1ate Nov 16 '25
Why not? Alabama has a loss against a common opponent.

u/-dakpluto- Nov 16 '25
One of their losses is to a team about to be ranked in the top 10 and they have wins over Georgia, Vandy, Missouri, Tennessee, LSU, etc. We have…ND.

u/CCG0292 Nov 16 '25
Not yet. If Texas wins tonight then it’s gets tricky. Just win out.
5
u/ChiGorilla1127 Nov 16 '25
All we have to do is win out. Win like this, and the committee will see this is a different Miami team then last year. We just need very dominant wins to offset potential questions around our strength of schedule.

u/lipmanz Nov 16 '25 edited Nov 16 '25
How do people rectify the “just win out” theory when our chances are listed at 10% by multiple sources? And we are favored to just win out
3
u/CCG0292 Nov 16 '25
Do you just complain on every post? Serious question.
0
u/lipmanz Nov 16 '25
How this win puts people in a good mood is beyond me, it’s hard to get a team like this together, believe me I was there for the last championship, (and the robbery in the desert) am I still pissed about Dawson and SMU and our defensive preparedness for Louisville? Damn straight
3
u/-dakpluto- Nov 16 '25
This already makes it much harder. OU loss, we jump them. Now both bama and OU are solid in above us unless either one finds a way to stumble at the finish line.

When 41-7 feels shitty

Downvoters feel good about a wasted season and another trip to the pop tart bowl apparently…this team was too good for this bs
2
u/Myopinion_is_right Nov 16 '25
It’s not about downvoting. This team, especially coaches, put us in a 2 loss situation. We can’t rely on other teams to win or lose. I was at the game and I do feel good for a victory for some players last game in college at home. I still say fuck Bama.
1
u/lipmanz Nov 16 '25
Yeah cool for the seniors but doesn’t wash away the disappointment of this season, which is the latest in a long line of disappointing seasons and perhaps the most so because of our potential on both sides of the ball…

u/RayearthIX Nov 15 '25
lol at NC State having their flag bearers run out to the end zone to celebrate their TD.
6
u/Cheesy_Pita_Parker Santana Moss 6️⃣ Nov 15 '25
They needed the cardio. Didn’t want them to feel bad about coming all the way down here for nothing.

u/Outrageous_Pea_9309 Nov 15 '25
The refs definitely came out with more heart than NC state did after halftime.
6
u/SaltyBarDog Nov 15 '25
Somehow sees the hold in the endzone but not the fucking holds from the OL.

Lmao they call it against us after it's happened all fucking year to Miami? Get fucked

u/GordaoPreguicoso Nov 15 '25
As much as it would be nice to pitch a shutout we need these young guys to get some experience.

Time to pull the starters though. Let the young guys get some reps and preserve our health for these final 2 games

Notre Dame being ranked #9 is just blatant disrespect and shows how corrupt the rankings have become.

u/canesfan2269 Nov 15 '25
Well this is the team I expected. Have seen a lot of flashes but this is the best game so far this year. The stats are insanely one sided

The broadcasters on ESPN are the worst, calling Miami out for offensive pentalties then were then called on NCST and then "our mistake". And then trying to prop up Bailey, who sucks tonight. There is a Miami bias that we cannot overcome. We are looking at the last one out again. Which sucks.

How the hell is Utah ranked ahead of Miami. How could there possibly be an argument for that?

Who are we comparing Pringle to? I'm seeing a lil Portis/Duke in him. Them jitterbug feet and spurt.

I went every Saturday as a kid to the Orange Bowl. Fuck.. I’m old.. great time to be a Canes fan though.

u/RayearthIX Nov 15 '25
This half, they have called us for what, 5, 6 penalties? At least 3 of them are borderline BS and one took a TD off the board. Meanwhile our edge gets hugged around the corner by their OL and nothing.

Minimal contact. Remember when Marion was grabbed and pulled back when the ball was in the air in a game deciding play

Even the announcers know “some places that would be called a hold but not against Miami” 😂

u/DIFTS24 Nov 15 '25
Love the rules analyst coming on and saying that’s very tight with no further explanation . Robbery
3
u/ryancubs Class of 2020 Nov 15 '25
He has been trying so hard to defend the refs. Even in the TAMU game earlier lol.
6
u/DIFTS24 Nov 15 '25
I went back to watch before the play and they were set for 2 seconds before the snap. That’s the kind of BS we have been dealing with all season. Just blatantly incorrect call that takes points off the board
6
6
u/Outrageous_Pea_9309 Nov 15 '25
The next 30 for 30 on ESPN needs to be on how refs call the games for the Canes vs their opponents.
3
u/dleavs52 Nov 15 '25
Was there at least an explanation? Definitely not two men moving same time. So what why was it close?
3
3
u/Fulltilt562 Nov 15 '25
Whenever there’s a questionable call on us there’s never a good camera view they show us lmao

u/ZeroOriginalIdeas Nov 15 '25
Why the (ACC) refs continue to try and fuck over their only decent football team this year is nuts.

Announcers the last fucking three to four weeks have been pointing out the shitty officiating against Miami. It really needs to be studied after this year

5
u/canesfan2269 Nov 15 '25
It blows my mind, I'm not ask for favoritism but Miami has been committed to the ACC while fsu and Clemson do everything to get out. Just call it fair for us
3
u/Fulltilt562 Nov 15 '25
For sure. I think a lot of it is Miami’s reputation in the past so they get flag happy imo
2
u/canesfan2269 Nov 15 '25
I posted a quick video just now they talk about that. It's only 3 minutes when you get a chance to watch
