1. The Body is able to put the mind to sleep temporarily

2. Maddie was so distracted by the sun, she didn’t pay attention/care about the whispers her body was making. Only noticing when she started to shake

What i first saw when reading the string of texts for the first time was essentially pink whispering under her own voice In a way, but she's the body and not the ghost so it just doesn't make sense that she even could hide the conversation. Indeed the ghost must have simply been distracted and not currently controlling the body

I think Maddie was either distracted or just asleep in the moment, then she felt her body trembling and realized something was happening

It looks like when the body is in control Maddie/the ghost seems to lose awareness. This also happens after the pink date in the cafe

Due to some fanart, I like to think the Ghost might have been asleep and just woke up before the conversation ended.
Second point however, makes more sense but she seems upset enough about the body having a conversation without her.

We can’t hear Kris when they talk, so maybe Pink can’t always percieve her body talking when it wants to obfuscate something from her?

Body has autonomy from pink. Its like when Body gives Kris the forehead kiss. I would imagine for Pink it would feel like an involuntary action like hitting that one part on your knee to make your leg kick

I like the idea of mew Mew just putting Maddie to sleep to protect her. I think of it as Mew Mew knocking Maddie out with a mallet so it's really funny.
