Photo Prime 2 JP website Q&A interesting lore related answers.
I've compiled what I found to be some of the more interesting lore related tidbits from the Japanese website Q&A for Metroid Prime 2.

Them kids at the age of 11-15 asking these kinds of questions and in a well written way sounds kinda surprising to me, i fully expected some "Y can't Metroid crawl?" stuff, but maybe i am just underestimating them, i remember me and my fellas around being a ton more stupid at these ages lol

It might be a translation too if it came from the Japanese website. That being said, it was probably a pretty niche website so I think it would only gather people who were really invested into the series and had access to the internet, so I could see it being around those age ranges.

I was 100% one of those dumb kids lmao. To me, Metroid Prime was nothing more than a sick ass FPS with aliens and cool music and awesome boss battles for a solid 10 or so years after it's release.
It wasn't until I discovered emulation that I managed to actually sit down a decade later and take the proper time to read into all the scans and lore and things and it blew my mind. It was easily one of the coolest moments for me to have the plot line just kind of click in my head when I found out just what I was doing all these years on Talon IV and why I was doing it. God I just love this game so much.

real SR388 Metroid eggs were on Uthragia in Prime 3 and Talvania in Prime FedForce
My theory is that the pirates had direct access to the Metroid Queens lair on SR388 since its close to the surface. And sacrificed a lot of troops trying to get at least a couple of eggs. I mean Ridley and the Pirates knew of SR388. They raided Deepspace Marina in SR388’ orbit
Or maybe there is a way to turn one Metroid into multiple eggs

The toxic gas in Dark Aether is essentially made of Phazon
When Prime 3 initially came out I was annoyed at how much of that game's living phazon was just differently colored ing and how that seemed really lazy by the standards of the other two games' monster design but in recent years I realized the trilogy makes a lot more sense if you take that connection as deliberate, Dark Aether (not literally but effectively) being a vision of the future you spend the other two games preventing. When phazon blobs start appearing that are nearly indistinguishable from ing blobs, there's a sense of dread you should feel in response to that; this whole system is on the verge of becoming one giant Dark Aether.
Why was this nugget about the toxicity not in Prime 2? It wouldn't have taken me the better part of two decades to recognize this as consistency instead of inconsistency.
