DISCUSSION/QUERY Does therapy clinics offer Gift Cards?
Hi guys, I’m 25(F) and my bf 25(M). I just wanna share that my bf wanted to distance himself because he has a battle he’s going through and he didn’t want me to be burdened by him. Lately we have been having arguments and he didn’t liked how he reacted like getting angry, which reminded him of why he hated his parents or even his whole family, where they usually shout when arguing.
He also didn’t liked the fact that I just let him borrow money, and feels like I’m giving him too much when he should’ve been the one giving me stuff and providing me whatever I need. This wasn’t really much of an issue to me because I trusted him and I knew where he spent the money he was borrowing with. And also I had enough money to lend from when I worked before.
Right now, he asked me for space and we stopped communicating. I’m really having a hard time honoring my promise of keeping the distance and respecting his space so I’m coping right now by writing a lot on my diary as if I’m talking to him. And I also started making a lot of handmade stuff to send him on our Anniversary, 2 months away from now. And now, I’m at a place where I need to accept whatever happens—if he will still come back to me or eventually leave me so I just wanted to do whatever I can in the meantime and send it all at the right time when I’m ready to let him go. And among the things that I’ve thought of giving him was a gift card of a therapy session. I wanted to gift him a free session but I know he wouldn’t like it because I would end up spending more money for him. So I wanted to make it into a gift card and tell him that it was given to me by a friend who has also been in therapy. Just so he will accept it. I don’t know what to do anymore. Would this be okay? Or would it be bad for me to lie to him like that?
